Confirmed and would-be Taipei City mayor candidates including Vivian Huang, Chiang Wan-an and Lin Chia-lung are promoting their family and housing platforms ahead of the year-end race.
Lin Chia-lung, who is pursuing the Democratic Progressive Party's nomination for Taipei City mayor, says he will provide up to NT$200,000 to newlyweds for family planning, subsidies for egg freezing, and up to NT$160,000 in interest subsidies on startup loans. During a radio interview, Lin also said he wants to discuss the transition of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall with Kuomintang's Chiang Wan-an.
Lin Chia-lung, Ambassador-at-Large: “I have already taken the initiative of extending the invitation. I think he has the status to carry out certain transitional justice-related missions.”
Lin also took advantage of the opportunity to promote himself as the DPP's most suitable candidate and called on the party to accelerate its nomination process. Taipei City Deputy Mayor Vivian Huang, who is expected to run as an independent candidate, says people's unwillingness to have children isn't just about money.
Vivian Huang, Taipei City Deputy Mayor: “It's not just about money. You can throw money at them, but they're still not going to have children if they're only earning NT$20,000-30,000 a month. You need to improve the overall environment.”
With Huang having yet to announce which party she plans to represent, Chiang and the KMT's city council candidates are promoting "true blue."
Chiang Wan-an, Taipei City Mayor Candidate (KMT): “This question should be addressed to Deputy Mayor Huang. My party affiliation is clear. I am the KMT candidate. At the end of the year, I will be running for mayor as the KMT's candidate.”
As for Huang saying the city government already has a "young-old residential switch" policy, Chiang said implementation is more important than who came up with the idea first. Chiang has not responded directly to Lin calling him out by name, only saying he is proud to be a member of the Chiang family and he wants to transform Taipei into an international city that matters.

無任所大使林佳龍表示：「我已經有主動提出邀請，我覺得他有一些身份，是可以有一些使命，是可以跟我們台灣，一起面對這個轉型正義。」
提出政策，想證明自己是民進黨內最適合的人選，林佳龍呼籲黨內盡快進行提名作業。不過想以無黨籍參選的現任副市長黃珊珊，對於林佳龍的市政支票不以為然，回應表示給錢是最簡單，但要讓年輕人願意生養。
台北市副市長黃珊珊認為：「不單單只是金錢，我覺得把它想成金錢的話，給他再多的錢，其實他的薪水還是2萬塊、3萬塊，他還是不會生孩子，所以重點是要提供一個完整的環境。」
黃珊珊喊出超越藍綠，國民黨提名的蔣萬安上午與所有市議員提名人拍定裝照，手拿母雞帶小雞的牌子，要以正藍顏色穩固這場市長與議員選戰。
國民黨台北市長提名人蔣萬安表示：「我想這個問題要需要去問黃副市長，這是她專屬的問題，我沒有選擇黨籍的問題，我就是國民黨提名的候選人，年底我就是代表國民黨參選市長的選舉。」
對於青銀換居遭黃珊珊回說市府早就做了，蔣萬安表示重點不在誰先提出而是執行力，至於林佳龍點名叫陣，蔣萬安沒有正面回應，只表示他以身為蔣家人為榮，希望未來能讓台北市成為國際重要城市。
