E-commerce Platform Workers Working from Home|電商平台試行"居家辦公" 全員不進公司

Many companies have implemented work from home programs. One e-commerce platform is holding a one-day, work-from-home movement. One job bank analyst says working from home is not suitable for all industries because some workers are paid by the hour.

People that are working from home use video conferencing programs to hold remote meetings. E-commerce platform Ruten has implemented a one-day, work-from-home program.

If you have internet access, you can hold meetings. Everyone's efficiency goes up working like this.

Under the definition of "work from home" used by this employer, workers are banned from leaving their home during the workday. After taking their temperature to start the workday, staff log on to the "time card" system and also log their temperature. E-commerce employees can generally work from home as long as they have internet access. Ruten says it isn't worried about workers slacking, and they can do things on their own schedule as long as they get their work done.

Work hours are set, yes, but the amount of time it takes us to process each case -- in theory, there will be a final number on it and you can see workers' final KPI. You can view the numbers on a weekly or daily basis, because there are relevant data tables every day.

One job bank says work from home is not suitable for all industries and even the e-commerce industry has many issues to overcome. Potential issues include the submission of progress reports and progress monitoring, quality of customer service, maintaining business volume, the blurring of lines between workers' personal and work lives, and longer working hours.

Do managers know how to videoconference? What about shift schedules? What about the line between personal life and work life, will they get blurred?

Working from home has become a trend in many countries in recent weeks, and with that comes both advances in video conferencing technology and new data security issues.

露天拍賣平台居家上班員工表示:「只要有網路的地方,就可以開會,這樣子,我覺得工作可以更有效率。」

"居家辦公"該怎麼執行,前提就是只能在家,不准外出。第一步上班前先"量體溫",接著登入線上"打卡"系統,同時回報體溫。尤其電商的工作型態,只要網路,就能工作,執行"居家辦公"難度較低。業者強調不怕員工偷懶,因為不看工作過程,只看績效。

露天拍賣平台運籌發展處總監 蔡傑旭表示:「工時是固定的,對,可是我們處理每一個案件的時效,原則上面它就是最終的數字,會反映出來,原則上面是看待員工最終的完成的KPI,可每週看,那我們也可以每天看,因為其實我們每天,都有相關的數據報表。」

根據人力銀行業者分析,居家上班,並非所有行業都能執行,即使電商,還是有需多問題需要克服,包括工作進度回報與掌握,客戶服務品質、業務推廣量維持,以及員工生活與工作容易模糊化,工時變相拉長等問題。

人力銀行業者 楊宗斌表示:「因為主管會不會傳訊,或指派工務的這個時間,造成自己的生活跟下班,上、下班跟生活的這個模糊化。」

隨著疫情擴散,居家辦公工作型態會愈來愈普遍,視訊會議軟硬體升級、網路資安等問題,都會隨著網路化、居家辦公慢慢浮現。
