Travel Agency Manager Case Linked to New Taipei City Designer 新北設計師傳染擴大 1旅行社經理PCR採陽

The infections involving a New Taipei City interior designer are spreading. The total number of confirmed cases has exceeded 10, including one travel agency manager, who was notified after he flew to Taitung.

A rapid testing site has been set up at the entrance of the Sheraton Taitung Hotel because a guest, a travel agency manager, tested positive in a PCR test. The hotel immediately closed for disinfection, and 400 employees and guests were tested.

Resident: “I'm a bit worried. I want to know where she went to eat.”

Resident: “I'm not worried.”

This case is linked to the case of a New Taipei City interior designer. This interior designer infected a roommate and a real estate agency employee who had eaten at the same restaurant as the interior designer. She tested positive on Feb. 16, as did two of her colleagues later that day. The footprints of one of the colleagues, Case No. 19816, were extensive and included Partyworld KTV's Sogo Store on Feb. 13, where there was close contact with the travel agency manager. The travel agency manager flew to Taitung on the morning of Feb. 16 and checked into the Sheraton Taitung Hotel. She had lunch at Tian Ye Restaurant. In the afternoon, she was notified by Taipei's Department of Health that she was identified as a contact and should quarantine. Taitung's Public Health Bureau sent a disease prevention vehicle to pick her up. She then tested positive in a PCR test.

Huang Ming-en, Director, Public Health Bureau, Taitung County: “We added seven people today, so right now the number of people in quarantine is 15. There are people from the restaurant as well as hotel employees and tour group members.”

Vivian Huang, Deputy Mayor, Taipei City: “We notified them, and it was only later that she tested positive. We examine each footprint, and then identify potential contacts. After the contacts are identified, we ask local health officials to follow up. They will follow up on all individual cases. With regards to footprints in Taipei, we will handle them rigorously.”

The travel agency manager was supervising a tour, not leading a tour group. Tour group members traveled from Taipei to Taitung via train, and the manager met up with them in Taitung after flying there. She wore a mask the entire time, and only removed it for lunch, which she ate alone. She began feeling unwell during lunch. Feb. 17 was the second day of the four-day, three-night tour of Hualien and Taitung. Taitung's Public Health Bureau says if all rapid test results are negative, then the tour can continue although group members must monitor their own health.

飯店附近民眾表示：「有一點擔心啦，想知道她去哪裡吃飯。」

另位民眾則說：「不會啦，平常心吧。」

這名旅行社業務經理確診跟新北市內設計師有關，設計師不只傳染給自己的室友，當天同餐廳用餐的女性房屋代銷公司人員16日確診，她的兩名同事同一天也確診，其中一位同事案19816足跡眾多，13日到錢櫃SOGO店時與這名旅行社業務經理密切接觸，旅行社業務經理16日當天早上搭乘飛機到台東機場，入住台東桂田喜來登酒店，中午前往天野日本料理用餐，下午接獲台北市衛生局通知被匡列居家隔離，台東縣衛生局派防疫專車送醫採檢後PCR確診。

台東縣衛生局長黃明恩說明，今日早上又增加7個接觸者，目前列為居家隔離總共有15個，包括餐廳、飯店及旅行團的相關接觸者。

台北市副市長黃珊珊表示：「我們通報後，他們後來才發現她確診，所以每個足跡過來後。就會先去匡列，而匡列後各個地方政府的衛生局去做追蹤，會一個個追出來，台北市目前就是在足跡的部分，會比較嚴謹地來處理。」

這名旅行社業務經理並非隨團領隊，只監督行程，團員從台北搭自強號火車到台東，旅行社業務經理自行搭飛機到台東會合，全程配戴口罩，只有中午餐時拿下口罩，用餐期間覺得頭暈不舒服，單獨用餐。原定4天3夜的花東之旅，17日是行程的第二天，台東縣衛生局表示，如果快篩全部陰性，行程可以照走，但團員都必須自我健康監測。
