PRC man claimed to have floated from China to Kinmen in raft 颱風天徒手划橡皮艇  男子偷渡到小金門

The Chinese national is the 4th case of illegal Chinese immigrants in Kinmen within a month.

Presenter: A PRC national surnamed Xue paddled with his arms for 6 hours on a rubber raft, passing through rain and wind of Typhoon Chanthu and finally arrived at Little Kinmen Island. He said he wanted to come to Taiwan for its freedom but was arrested the moment he stepped on shore.

After making sure the man's temperature is normal, Coast Guard personnel handcuff him and take him away. The man, a PRC national surnamed Xue, says he rowed over to Little Kinmen from Xiamen in an unpowered rubber raft.

Ho Kai-hsiang, 9th Coast Patrol Corps, Coast Guard Kinmen-Matsu-Penghu Branch:” Soldiers were sent over from Lieyu, along with a CP-1022 patrol cutter to expand the water and coastal search. We did not find anything illegal during the search.”

The Coast Guard performed a search of the area after catching Xue, but did not find anything abnormal. Xue told the Coast Guard he endured the six-hour trip because he wanted to taste Taiwan's freedom and democracy. He was given a PCR test, which came back negative, and will be quarantined for 14 days before his case proceeds.

We then notified the Kinmen County Public Health Bureau in accordance with health regulations and made arrangements for accommodation in accordance with Central Epidemic Command Center regulations.”

An amateur video of Xue's capture has gone viral. This was the fourth illegal immigration case in Kinmen in a month.

穿著防護衣的岸巡人員，對偷渡上岸的男子量體溫，發現沒有發燒，隨即將他上銬，依防疫程序處置。即使璨樹颱風影響，金門海邊掀起狂風巨浪，這名中國籍的薛姓男子還是乘坐無動力的橡皮艇，以徒手划船的克難方式，從廈門出發，划到小金門，可是，上岸不久，就被逮捕。

海巡署金馬澎分署第九岸巡隊組主任 何凱翔：「調派烈嶼地區的應變兵力以及CP1022艇，實施灘岸的擴大搜索跟海上的擴大搜索，經搜索後無發現不法情事。」

薛嫌落網後，岸巡人員立即擴大搜索，還好海面沒有異狀。薛男供稱，因為嚮往台灣的民主自由，才會花6小時克難偷渡。岸巡人員不敢大意，先幫他採檢PCR，發現是陰性，送隔離14天後，再移送法辦。

海巡署金馬澎分署第九岸巡隊組主任 何凱翔：「本隊立即實施配戴口罩，量測體溫，並依序通報金門縣的衛生局，然後依照中央流行疫情指揮中心的規定來做處置。」

而薛嫌上岸被捕的過程，意外被民眾目睹，還拍照上網，引發討論。由於這是金門縣一個月內、第4起的偷渡案，檢方將依違反入出國及移民法究辦外，並追查是否有不法動機。
