Labor Groups to Stage Demonstration Before Elections|勞團選前組"2020工鬥" 籲候選人回應訴求

None of the three presidential candidates spoke about their labor policies during the presidential presentation on Dec. 18, upsetting labor groups. They therefore announced a demonstration for Jan. 4 that will start at the Kuomintang headquarters, pass by the People First Party headquarters, and end at the Democratic Progressive Party headquarters to demand that their presidential candidates respond to the six major labor demands they issued earlier this year.
The first presidential policy presentation took place on Dec. 18. None of the three presidential candidates discussed their labor policies during the televised presentation, upsetting labor groups. They have therefore convened a demonstration for Jan. 4 before the presidential election and formed the group "2020 Labor Rights Fighters" to demand that the three parties with presidential candidates respond to the six major demands they issued earlier this year. The demands include increasing the percentage contributed by employers to pension funds from 6 percent to 9 percent, increasing the number of statutory holidays, and relaxing restrictions on the formation of labor unions.
Let's not even speak about the era of the Kuomintang. When the Democratic Progressive Party, which claims to be the party that stands for democracy and freedom, came into power, did it reform the rights and benefits of laborers or the requirements for the formation of unions? If we look at our neighboring countries, including our powerful neighbor on the other side of the strait, none of them have such high thresholds for unions.
Another issue at the forefront is that of highway toll collectors who were fired after an electronic toll collection system was implemented.
This government has broken faith. It's a joke when this government describes the compensation plan as an achievement. We urge everyone to support us when we paralyze the national highways, when we climb onto the eTag frameworks.
Labor groups are not the only ones unhappy with the current situation. Academics are upset that the issue of higher education was not mentioned during the national policy presentation.
Han Kuo-yu is talking about bilingual education, while Tsai Ing-wen is talking about public daycare. However, the issue of higher education, which is of great concern to the nation's competitiveness, was completely ignored, which was very disappointing.
Education groups have asked the presidential candidates to propose solutions for 10 major higher education issues.
You should serve as role models for children, and not lie during elections.
Another issue that has come up recently is the use of sexist language by politicians in public. Gay rights groups have announced they will begin sending related information to candidates or politicians who use inappropriate language to tell them not to injure or bully for election purposes.
各黨總統候選人首場政見發表會宛如辯論，被外界形容刀光劍影，但勞團不滿三位候選人，其實都沒有提出勞工政見，因此各勞工團體趁選前，組成「2020工鬥」，要求三黨回應工鬥今年擬出的六大訴求，包含勞退新制雇主提撥從6%增加到9%、增加國定假日、降低工會籌組門檻等。
2020工鬥成員/華航企業工會理事長 劉惠宗表示：「國民黨的時代我們算了，但是到了民進黨，號稱民主自由的政黨，它有改革這一個勞工的權益嗎？組工會的權益嗎？環顧我們台灣周遭的國家，包括對岸的強國人，（工會門檻)都沒那麼高。」
除了喊出六大訴求，工鬥也要求儘速解決國道收費員爭議。
2020工鬥成員/國道收費員自救會顧問 毛振飛表示：「這政府是背信了這個政府當它拿出來(補償方案)，當作政績的時候，到最後是一場笑話，我們在癱瘓國道的時候，我們上eTag架的時候，還要請大家共同來聲援。」
不只勞工在選前要求候選人表態，教育界也不滿政見會上，三位候選人對高教議題，隻字未提。
東方設計大學校長 賴鼎銘表示：「韓國瑜他還是在談雙語教育，小英在談幼托，可是對於攸關國家競爭力的高教，竟然都沒有著墨，真的很令人失望。」
教育團體提出十大高教問題，要候選人給出解決之道。
「做孩子的榜樣，選舉不要扯謊！」
近期政治人物在造勢等場合，說出不少性別歧視的言語，同志團體則預告，會把「認識同志大補帖」，寄給發言不當的候選人或政治人物，要求他們別為了選舉就傷害、霸凌社會少數。
