US October CPI Rose 7.7% 美公布10月CPI年增7.7% 創1月以來新低
The U.S. government announced the Consumer Price Index rose 7.7 percent for the year ending in October, a much slower pace of increase than the 8 percent economists had expected and the lowest annual inflation reading since January. The Dow Jones surged on hopes for fewer Fed rate hikes, jumped more than 1,200 points, in its best day since May 2020.
The S&P 500 jumped 5.5 percent in its biggest rally since April 2020. The Nasdaq Composite surged 7.35 percent, its best since March 2020. All three major U.S. stock indexes have experienced the biggest one-day gain since stocks were emerging from the depths of the pandemic bear market. The Taipei stock market also rose by more than 540 points at one point during early morning trading on the 11th.
這一波漲勢,讓標普500指數,上漲超過5.5%,那斯達克和費城半導體指數,漲幅分別超過7%和10%,3大指數,都飆出2020年春季、新冠狀病毒大流行,引爆的股災以來,單日最大漲幅。台北股市早盤,也受到連動,一度上漲540點以上。
