Karateka Wen Tzu-yun to Make Olympic Debut on Aug. 5 世界排名第2 文姿云空手道項目備受期待

The 2020 Summer Olympics has entered into its final week, and various equestrian, athletics, and golf events will take place. The karate competition will begin on Aug. 5. Chinese Taipei karateka Wen Tzu-yun, who is second-ranked in the world and nicknamed "Hipster," will make her Olympic debut. Javelin thrower Cheng Chao-tsun, known as "The Golden Arm," and boxer Huang Hsiao-wen will be vying for medals.
 

Karateka Wen Tzu-yun has been preparing hard for her 2020 Olympics debut on Aug. 5. Her nickname is "Hipster," and she is currently ranked second in the world. She will be competing in the women's 55kg category. She has her sights set on a gold medal.

Wen Tzu-yun, Olympic Karateka："I am karateka Wen Tzu-yun. I want to become the first female Olympic karate gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics."

Wen is scheduled to compete during the last three days of the Olympics, so she did not depart for Tokyo until July 31. She is currently preparing for her debut. She has ample experience in international competitions. She won a gold medal at the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games, and also finished first at three Asian Championships and third at two World Championships. She was previously ranked first in the world. She is determined to win an Olympic gold medal. Another of Chinese Taipei's medal contenders is javelin thrower Cheng Chao-tsun.

Cheng is known as "The Golden Arm." At the 2017 Summer Universiade, he set an Asian record in the men's javelin event. He recently became a stay-at-home dad. His wife and child accompanied him to the airport to see him off. Cheng will begin competing on Aug. 4. Another gold medal contender is boxer Huang Hsiao-wen.

Huang used boxing to overcome family issues. She has made the semifinals of the women's fly competition, which guarantees her a bronze medal at the least. She has an excellent chance of winning gold. Regardless of how far she advances, she already has the distinction of winning Chinese Taipei's first-ever medal in boxing. There are also equestrian, track-and-field, and golf events taking place during the last week of the competition.

東奧空手道國手 文姿云表示：「我是空手道國手文姿云，我要得到東京奧運史上，第一面空手道女子金牌。」

由於文姿云的賽程排在閉幕前三天，因此直到7月31日才出發前往日本，目前已在東京積極備戰，而文姿云多年征戰國際各大賽事，創下亞運金牌2連霸紀錄，生涯也拿下，3面亞錦賽金牌、2面世錦賽銅牌，還登上過世界第一，這面奧運金牌，勢在必得。另外，中華隊未來奪牌熱門的還有鄭兆村。

"黃金右臂"鄭兆村，2017年世大運，創下男子標槍亞洲紀錄，剛晉升奶爸的他，也來勢洶洶，老婆、小孩到機場送機，帶著家人和國人的祝福，將在8月4號，奧運田徑標槍項目，再度"劃破天際"；接下來，要力拚金牌戰的，還有拳擊國手黃筱雯。

接觸拳擊，走出家庭陰影的黃筱雯，在拳擊女子51公斤賽事晉升4強，黃筱雯保證至少銅牌，更有機會摘金，已經確定將為台灣奧運拳擊，拿下史上首面獎牌，而東奧賽事進入到最後階段，馬術、田徑、高球等各項賽事，也將相繼在這幾天展開。
