New Taipei Bans Students, Teachers from Traveling Overseas|新北要求高中以下師生 6月底前禁止出國

The first confirmed COVID-19 student case has caused his classes to be suspended, however, what's more worrisome is that the student's activity circle was very big and he may have traveled across many cities. New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih says he has asked schools to raise their vigilance level and the city is already taking unprecedented actions, and asked all its teachers and students at the high school level and below, to remain in Taiwan until the end of June.


A high school student in northern Taiwan has tested positive for COVID-19 after traveling to Europe with his family. New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih says schools have been asked to be more vigilant and the city has taken the unprecedented step of asking all elementary, junior high and high school staff and students to remain in Taiwan through the end of June.

All schools have been asked to adopt stricter standards. In principle, students and staff will not be allowed to leave the country until the end of the semester in June. With (government) approval, exceptions will be made in special cases.

Hou has asked schools to adopt stricter standards after proposing joining forces with Taipei City in disease prevention. This is sure to be a major focal point at the Taipei - New Taipei forum on the 26th.

It's already been said that there won't be any cases in New Taipei City if there aren't any cases in Taipei City and vice versa. The two cities -- and even Keelung, Yilan and Taoyuan -- are so closely linked, so we have to be willing to work together on disease prevention.

Hou also announced various measures to boost consumption and help the visually impaired at the opening ceremony of a MRT massage shop that staffs visually impaired masseurs.



中央流行疫情指揮中心15號宣布，北部一名高中生，和家人出國旅遊返台後確診，造成班級停課，由於高中生活動範圍大，就怕成為防疫破口，新北市長侯友宜表示，學校都有提高警覺，更要超前備戰，已經要求新北市高中以下師生六月底前禁止出國。

新北市長 侯友宜表示：「早已經告訴了我們所有的學校，所有學校的師生，採取更嚴格的標準，在六月底開學這段時間，師生原則上都不准出國，那除了有例外，例外一定要簽奉核定才可以。」

侯友宜要求學校採取更嚴格標準，之前更提出北部區域兵推聯防概念，擴大地區間討論，接下來3/26的雙北論壇也會著重防疫，積極溝通。

新北市長 侯友宜表示：「因為疫情講過了，不會台北市發生，新北市就不會發生；也不會新北市發生，台北市不會發生。兩地都結合在一起，所以雙北的共同防疫，甚至包括基隆跟宜蘭，或是桃園，我們都要緊密的保持一個，密切合作的態度。」

另外，因為受到疫情衝擊，民眾減少消費，侯友宜也出席環狀線的視障按摩旗艦店開幕，宣布多項的優惠，也結合在地球隊資源，希望在疫情時也能促進消費，並且幫助視障人士。
