US Evacuates Citizens From Diamond Princess|鑽石公主號美撤僑專機 14確診獲准上機

More than 300 Americans quarantined on the Diamond Princess cruise ship for almost two weeks finally headed home. Meanwhile, it has been reported that one passenger tested positive for the coronavirus after thousands of other passengers disembarked the MS Westerdam cruise. In Russia, a court has ordered a woman to be forcibly confined to hospital after she broke out of coronavirus quarantine.


More than 300 US citizens from the Diamond Princess cruise were evacuated from Japan on chartered planes. The U.S. Departments of State and Health and Human Services later confirmed that they had learned that 14 of the evacuees had tested positive for the virus during their journey to the airport. At last, the 14 confirmed cases were allowed to board the plane, but they were isolated from the other passengers.

The patient was transported back to a containment unit. He had some lightheadedness, had a mild cough. Had a fever that was documented before landing. Also had a chronic condition which could complicate the issue if he were tested positive for coronavirus.

All the passengers onboard, including all the flight crews and medical staffs need to be quarantined for 14 days after landing in the United States. An American citizen who was evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise told a reporter that he is very happy to go home, even if it means he needs to be put under quarantine. More than 40 American passengers have tested positive for the virus and were sent to hospitals for treatments in Japan.

Meanwhile another cruise line, the MS Westerdam, was permitted to dock in Cambodia and thousands of passengers had disembarked the ship. It was reported on Feb. 15 that there is at least one confirmed case of coronavirus among the passengers. Passengers on the MS Westerdam cruise ship had spent two weeks at sea being turned away by five countries over coronavirus fears. The cruise was permitted to dock at Cambodia on Feb. 13. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen welcomed the cruise ship in person without wearing a face mask.

Meanwhile, a St Petersburg court has ordered a Russian woman to be forcibly confined to hospital after she broke out of coronavirus quarantine.

They insisted to put me into quarantine, because I pose a threat to the public. But as you can see, nobody here, including representitives from the Health departments is wearing face masks or protective gears.

Ilyina travelled to China earlier this month and began to show symptoms after returning to Russia. At that time, the doctor suspected her of contracting the coronavirus and put her under quarantine at the hospital. Ilyina thought the hospital was going to "lock her up indefinitely" so she decided to work out an escape plan. Now the court has ordered her to be admitted to hospital until next week.

全機人員入境美國後必須全部隔離14天，一位美國公民被帶離鑽石公主號時告訴記者，他很高興終於可以回家，至少隔離的地方會比郵輪上好。郵輪上另有40多名美國乘客病毒檢測結果陽性，均已在日本當地送醫治療。

另一艘郵輪威士特丹號獲准停靠柬埔寨後，上千名乘客已經下船四散，由於15號傳出至少一名武漢肺炎病例，17號還有數十位乘客前往首都金邊搭遊覽巴士到處玩，情況已難掌握。一名乘客得知此事後表示相當驚訝，因為他並不希望自己被傳染，更不希望返國後影響到家人。威士特丹號因被多國拒絕靠岸，在海上漂流兩週，13號獲准停靠柬埔寨，總理洪森14號沒戴口罩、親自迎接。

俄羅斯聖彼得堡法院17號下令一名正接受隔離卻從醫院逃回家的女子伊莉娜必須回院完成隔離。

俄羅斯隔離病患 伊莉娜表示：「他們堅持要把我隔離起來，因為我對群眾造成威脅，你可以看，這裡沒有任何人，包括公衛部門的代表，都沒戴口罩，也沒有穿戴特別防護。」

伊莉娜這個月初有中國旅遊史，返回俄羅斯因有相關症狀就醫，當時醫生認為她是疑似病例，要她住院隔離，但認為院方恐怕將她"愛關多久就關多久"，隔天就逃院，如今法院下令，她只能被法警帶走，強制執行。
