RT-MART TO STOP SELLING PLASTIC BAGS IN JULY|配合減塑政策 大潤發7/1起停賣塑膠袋

The Environmental Protection Administration will announce to ban the big-box stores from providing plastic bags for free. However, some hypermarkets even take a further step to halt selling plastic bags. RT-Mart announced that its 22 stores will suspend selling plastic bags from July 1, and this move will cut the use of 7.3 million plastic bags per year. Another major retailer PX Mart is promoting reuse of plastic bags. PX Mart is to terminate sales of plastic bags in stores in Taipei and New Taipei City starting January 1 of 2018.
