Former freeway toll collectors protest before DPP headquarters / 換新政府仍無解收費員民進黨部搭棚抗爭

For the past two years, former freeway toll collectors have been fighting for their rights, asking for compensation and proper job replacement. In the morning of August 15th, several ex-toll collector self-help group members began a round-the-clock standing vigil outside the DPP headquarters in Taipei. They said that the DPP had promised before the election to solve their problems. Yet until now, no progress has been made. Holding their signs high, former freeway toll collectors were standing in front of DPP headquarters, and demanding new government to undertake the promises on annual subsidies and job replacements. ==SUN HSIU-LUAN, Chairperson of Freeway Toll Collectors Self-Help Group== It has been nearly three years, two and half years. When President Tsai was a candidate, she promised us in January 4th, that she will solve our problems. But until now, problems remain. We highly appreciate solving problems on seniority and job replacements, they all need to have solid plans. ==KUO KUAN-CHUN, National Alliance for Workers of Closed Factories member== Tsai promised us establishing an ad-hoc group handling our matters after her election. Tsai even said to us that she will try solving problems when legislators inaugurated. Again she said when she inaugurated on May 20th, she will immediately solve our problems. Now it has been seven months, nothing at all. Members of self-help group are not satisfied with delayed progress, it was until May that DPP appointed the Ministry of Labor to start negotiations. Until now, there are 180 some members have not been well-replaced nor compensated. ==LIU FANG-LIANG, Toll Service Div. Chief, National Freeway Bureau== Regarding their work seniorities, by law we provide them added severance pay. All will be done based on labor laws. Ministry of Labor is under discussion with us at National Freeway Bureau and Ministry of Transportation and Communications. Also the Ministry is negotiating with Far Eastern Electronic Tolling Company, on a proposal of subsidies. The National Freeway Bureau points out, the matters associate with former toll collectors are complicated, it needs more time to discuss with various departments for an ideal solution. TRANSLATED BY：ANTHONY LIN 高舉「苦候方案」標語，國道收費員自救會成員，站在民進黨中央黨部前抗議，他們要求新政府要落實選前承諾，提出明確方案，來解決國道收費員的年資補貼和工作安置爭議。 ==國道收費員自救會會長孫秀鑾== 到現在已經快3年了 2年半的時間蔡英文總統她當候選人的時候 1月4號有承諾我們要解決我們的方案但是到現在都還沒有解決因為我們重要是說年資的解決還有工作權方面的解決都要有一個具體的方案 ==全國關廠工人連線成員郭冠均== 當時的承諾是什麼大選之後立即成立專案小組立即的來研擬方案甚至於曾經說過立法院委員就職的時候就會嘗試解決 520一上台就會馬上解決但是7個月之後的現在什麼都沒有自救會成員不滿，認為從1月大選完後，就應該成立專案小組了，但民進黨直到5月底，才指派勞動部談判。在這個已經延宕多時的協商過程中，又多次獲得「還要再請示」的理由，繼續被拖延，導致現在還有180多位成員，沒有獲得妥善的安置和應有補償。 ==高公局業務組長劉逢良== 他們的一個年資的部分我們高公局依法該發的一個加發的資遣費也好離職儲金因為都依相關的法令去給予所以勞動部正在跟我們高公局跟交通部甚至跟遠通公司都正在研討很積極的在研商這樣的一個補貼方案高公局則表示，國道收費員的年資和安置議題，由於牽涉層面較廣，因此還需要持續和勞動部、遠通公司等相關單位，進行研議，找尋適合的方案。記者曹晏郡王興中台北報導
