Another School Suspends Classes for 14 Days 居服員傳播鏈入校園 累積4校停課

The child of the residential caregiver who has tested positive has tested positive as well. Meanwhile, four schools in Taoyuan suspended classes in recent days.

Parents dropping their kids off at school find the school closed. 

Elementary School Official in Taoyuan: “The announcement was made just this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience. We were only notified by the Department of education at 6:40 a.m. ”

The decision to shut down the Taoyuan elementary school was made after a student tested positive.

Parent of Student at Elementary School in Taoyuan: “I didn't get (the notification) because I was bringing my kid to school. We didn't look at our phones. (We hear the school is closed for 14 days). They had someone at the school (test positive) too.”

They notified us at one (in the morning). We were all asleep at the time. I only saw the notification at 6:30 a.m. when I got up. I got in contact with everyone. (Parents) that can't make arrangements for the children (don't have to worry.) The school will step in. The infected student goes to the same daycare center as the child of a residential caregiver that has tested positive. The two children do not attend the same school. The infected student's school is testing students and teachers and has suspended its daycare operations. This is the second elementary school in Taoyuan that has been shut down for 14 days due to students testing positive. Two others suspended classes for one day. This is the fourth Taoyuan school to suspend classes in recent days.

Cheng Wen-tsan, Taoyuan City Mayor: “This transmission chain is especially infectious. Based on the contact tracing and testing we did yesterday, there was at least one new case.”

The Taoyuan Airport cluster infection continues spreading into the community. Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan says there are no plans to suspend classes citywide right now. However, Cheng also said the city will be expanding testing and setting up community vaccination stations in the next few days.

 

桃園某國小校方說:「早上才臨時通知的，不好意思，今天早上我們6點40分才接到教育局通知。」原來桃園又有一所國小傳出學生確診，全校緊急宣布從10日起停課14天，事發突然，讓家長措手不及。

桃園某國小家長表示:「我沒有接到（通知），因為我就是直接就載小朋友直接就出來，我們手機根本完全沒看，不會看的人（現在好像放14天），他們學校也是（有確診）喔。」

桃園某國小校長指出:「它是1點多通知，可是1點多我們都睡了，所以早上起來，我大概6點半的時候看到那個訊息，然後看到訊息，我就啟動所有的聯繫。他們（家長）沒有辦法將孩子做妥善安置，學校這裡也有妥善的安置。」

這名確診者是染疫居服員小孩的安親班同學，兩人就讀不同國小，相繼確診，校方在9日緊急停課，並展開採檢，安親班也沒有營業，進行大消毒。桃園疫情擴散至校園，已經有2所國小出現學生確診，桃園還有2間國中預防性停課一天，並貼出公告指出校內有學生接觸確診者，而目前累積有4校停課。

桃園市長鄭文燦提到:「居服員的家庭這條傳播鏈，它傳播的這個威力是特別大的，根據昨天匡列採檢的結果，是有增加確診個案。」

桃機群聚染疫一路延燒，更擴散到校園，桃園市長鄭文燦表示目前全市不停課，會加強防疫措施因應，卻也鬆口，確診居服員這條傳播鏈傳播威力強大，還有新增個案，也立即啟動擴大採檢、週三起將設置社區接種站，持續防堵疫情。
