Tung Oil Blossom Season Will Peak in Two Weeks|八卦山"五月雪" 未來2週達高峰

On Changhua's Bagua Mountain, Tung oil trees have started blooming. The Changhua City Office says 20 to 30 percent are in bloom and the flowering period will peak in the next two weeks.
From afar, the hillside appears to be covered in snow. Although Tung oil blossoms are not fully in bloom yet, tourists are already flocking to Bagua Mountain. Nicknamed "May snow," Tung oil blossoms usually bloom at the end of April. Lychee blossoms are also in bloom across the hillside. The township office says the flower season will peak in the next two to three weeks.
Around 65 to 70 percent of the flowers will be in bloom on Apr. 21. The best day will probably be Apr. 28. We expect 100 percent of the flowers to be in bloom on that weekend.
According to the office, the best places for flower viewing are Bagua's Futian Community, Dazhang Road on County Route 139, and Fenyuan Taoshui Historic Tunnel.
