Clara Chou's Original Suit Converted to Attorney's Complaint 周玉蔻原訂今對柯.蔣提告 改律師遞訴狀

Media personality Clara Chou has decided to take a leave from both her radio and TV show. Her accusations revolving around KMT Taipei mayoral candidate Chiang Wan-an's father has swiftly impacted the current Taipei mayoral race according to the Taiwan Public Opinion Center's analysis.

Media personality Clara Chou originally scheduled to visit the Taipei District Prosecutors Office on the 28th to sue Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je and KMT Taipei City mayoral candidate Chiang Wan-an. It was suddenly changed to the issuance of a statement stipulating her attorney will file a complaint instead and she will take leave from her radio show and Coco Hot News.

Chiang Wan-an, KMT Taipei City Mayoral Candidate: “I'm not afraid of this kind of deplorable election manipulation in shepherding Chen Shih-chung. But I urge Ms. Clara Chou to make a sincere apology to the victim who was very much hurt by her.”

Chen Shih-chung, DPP Taipei City Mayoral Candidate: “Some candidates should really watch what they say because that also represents a moral character. Things that insinuate affairs between a couple are really not appropriate to mouth about.”

Clara Chou's recent focus on the scandal revolving around KMT Taipei mayoral candidate Chiang Wan-an's father, Chiang Hsiao-yen from decades ago prompted the implicated party, Chang Shu-chuan, to personally press the bell and sue Chou, inciting a surge in public opinion. According to the Taiwan Public Opinion Center's analysis, Clara Chou's high Internet volume in effect triggered a golden cross of Chen Shih-chung and Chiang Wan-an's estimated votes, negatively impacting Chen Shih-chung's election. Meanwhile, Vivian Huang's polls swiftly picked up.

Vivian Huang, Ind. Taipei City Mayoral Candidate: “The fluctuations in poll results are normal. I'm happy with a rise in my polls, but we must still remain extremely cautious, keeping in mind what citizens want, as opposed to heeding Internet volume daily; negative Internet volume might as well be tossed.”

With respect to the recent Clara Chou storm, Chen Shih-chung further noted that he hopes these affairs unrelated to the election can end soon and allow for a return to the main focus on city governance.

蔣萬安表示：「我不畏懼這種為了護航陳時中，而進行的惡質選舉操作手法，我也呼籲周玉蔻女士，盡快跟被她傷害的人誠心道歉。」

民進黨台北市長參選人陳時中表示：「那有一些候選人，也要注意自己的口德啦，因為口德也代表自己的一個品德，就像影射什麼小倆口，這些都是沒有口德的事情。」

周玉蔻近日猛攻蔣萬安父親蔣孝嚴多年前的緋聞案，引發當事人張淑娟按鈴提告，激起輿論反彈，根據TPOC台灣議題研究中心分析指出，周玉蔻的高聲量，反而使陳時中與蔣萬安的得票率預測數值出現黃金交叉，對陳時中的負面影響更甚；而無黨籍台北市長參選人黃珊珊的民調則急起直追。

黃珊珊表示：「民調的起起伏伏很正常，那民調上升我也覺得很高興，但是我們還是要回到非常戰戰兢兢，要知道市民要的是什麼，而不是每天只顧聲量，壞的聲量不要也罷。」

針對周玉蔻近日風波，陳時中也進一步表示，希望跟選舉無關的事情儘早落幕，回歸市政主軸。
