The Kuomintang's think tank held a forum on Feb. 24, with KMT Chair Johnny Chiang and Taiwan People's Party Chair Ko Wen-je sharing a stage.
Pro-independence groups accuse Kuomintang Chair Johnny Chiang and Taiwan People's Party Chair Ko Wen-je of having ulterior motives because they are attending the same event. Their joint appearance at the forum sparked speculation about the blue and white camps joining forces in the next local elections. Chiang and Ko both said they are open to working together on various issues irrespective of the elections.

Different parties can get together to discuss and tackle different issues. Local elections are local elections.
You want to talk about elections and ideology all day, every day. What about the issues affecting citizens' daily lives? I don't think it's strange for different parties to take on these issues together.
Sean Lien, the vice chair of the think tank, was unaware Ko was attending the forum until after the fact. Chiang said the party would improve internal communication. Both Chiang and Ko also dismissed speculation about cooperation in the elections.
The nation is allocating (resources) for justice. How do you play this role? In the past, our government worked hard for the people. Maybe they didn't do enough, or maybe they didn't use the right methods.
Residential justice is a generational justice issue. Do you know why? When we graduated, we could buy our own home within a few years. The younger generation sitting here today -- how long will it take you to be able to buy a home in Taipei? You are being exploited.
Chiang and Ko both had their say on issues including generational and residential justice. They did not have much interaction off the stage, with Ko leaving before the event was over.
獨派團體擺出諷刺春聯，高聲抗議國民黨主席江啟臣，與民眾黨主席、台北市長柯文哲在國民黨智庫論壇上同台，是各懷鬼胎。藍營的「願景台灣2030」論壇，被解讀成未來選舉「藍白合」的起手式，未演先轟動, 江啟臣與柯文哲在會前受訪時都重申，在野黨之間本來就會就議題來合作，跟地方選舉無關。
國民黨主席 江啟臣表示：「政黨之間，在議題是可以去討論，可以去溝通，甚至在一些議題攻防上面，也可以有相互的合作。但是地方選舉，那當然要回歸到地方選舉。」
台北市長 柯文哲表示：「每天要嘛談選舉，要嘛談意識形態，奇怪，其實民生議題，還是要拿出來討論。我倒覺得是這樣，對我來講，你只要講民生議題，不分黨派，我都可以來參加。」
不過這次江啟臣、柯文哲合體，藍營內部出現溝通落差，導致智庫副董事長連勝文事後才得知，引發風波。江啟臣緩頰表示，會檢討改進流程。至於是否藉柯文哲拉抬聲勢，江啟臣笑回自己應該不需要、柯文哲也認為，是大家想太多。
國民黨主席 江啟臣表示：「國家的層次，是在分配，在正義這件事情上在分配。那怎麼樣去扮演一個，重分配的角色？過去我們的政府，其實也做得很多，可是顯然還不夠，或者顯然方法上有問題。」
台北市長 柯文哲表示：「居住正義，根本就是世代正義的問題，為什麼你知道，以前我們畢業的時候，大概花個幾年，就可以買到房子。現在在座，台下的年輕人，你覺得你要多久，才可以在台北買到房子？很困難哪，這就是剝削。」
談到台灣的世代正義與居住正義等議題，江啟臣、柯文哲都侃侃而談、各抒己見，不過兩人從合照、到相隔而坐都零互動，柯文哲還先因「要事」離開。而這場另類江柯會是否有後續效應，有待觀察。
