Domestic Fares on Budget Airline Payable at Conv. Stores|國籍廉航業新服務 超商付款買機票

People with reservations on budget airlines can now pay for their tickets at convenience stores. This is good news for people who don't like to enter their credit card information online. After reserving a budget airline ticket online, travelers can choose to pay online with their credit card or pay in person at a convenience store. At the convenience store, they just have to enter their confirmation number in the kiosk, print out the receipt, and pay at the counter. The low-cost carrier offering this service for international routes says many people don't feel safe entering their credit card information online while foreign tourists and students may not have credit cards. Students account for a large share of the low-cost carrier customer base. We want to give students or people that don't have credit cards the option to pay for their ticket at a convenience store. Foreign nationals in Taiwan may also not have useable credit cards, so this will benefit them as well. Taiwan Railways, Taiwan High Speed Rail and domestic airlines also offer this payment option for domestic travel. As convenience store payment collection transactions can't exceed NT$20,000, however, it is unlikely traditional airlines can implement the service for international routes. I would (use this service). Low-cost carriers are a great way to travel right now. Unless there are high processing fees, I would definitely be open to paying at a convenience store. I wouldn't (use this service) because I'm not in the habit of buying tickets this way. According to the Institute for Information Industry, over 70 percent of consumers pay for online purchases with credit cards while the rest pay at convenience stores. The number of people choosing ATM transfers is also on the rise. With so many options available, convenience stores are expanding their services at a rapid rate.
