PROTEST GROUPS HOLD OVERNIGHT VIGIL AROUND LEGISLATURE|立院審年改前夕 抗議團體"夜宿圍城"

Protestors of the pension reform yesterday gathered at the Control Yuan to petition for corrective measures on government bodies involved in the decision making. The crowd then gathered at the Legislative Yuan for an overnight demonstration. 2000 police were mobilized after reports surfaced that protestors have brought smoke bombs. On Apr. 18, groups unhappy at public servants' pension reform, went to the Control Yuan with a petition demanding a change of personnel in the pension reform committee and other bodies involved in drafting and reviewing the reform.
