CAL TAKES OVER TAIPEI-HUALIEN ROUTE FROM TRANSASIA|復興航權被收回 華航接手台北-花蓮航線

The Ministry Of Transportation and Communications has officially taken back TransAsia Airways' aviation rights. After the company's dissolution, the monopolized Taipei-Hualien route will be taken over by China Airlines, and the first flight took place on Dec 1. Compared to TransAsia's propeller airliners, Mandarin Airlines's commercial jets are bigger and the flight time is 10 minutes shorter.
Mandarin Airlines's first flight from Taipei to Hualien took off on the morning of Dec 1 after the company took over the route from TransAsia Airways. Mandarin Airlines's commercial jets can seat 104 passengers and take only 40 minutes to complete the flight, which is 10 minutes less than TransAsia airliners. Customers are mostly satisfied with the service.

We took the Mandarin Airlines just to try out the flight.
Mandarin Airline's first flight from Taipei to Hualien left at 9:10 with a passenger load factor of 71%. China Airlines Chairman Ho Nuan-Hsuan was also onboard the flight. He said that the baggage allowance for domestic routes has been raised to 30 kg. In the future, they will also promote chartered flights between Hualien and Japan as well as Hualien and Hong Hong to promote the local tourism industry. As for the highly coveted cross-strait aviation rights, Ho said they will apply according to rules.

We're all professionals here at China Airlines. Everyone knows the procedures, so they can take over within just 5 days. No problem at all. Actually, there is a lot of overlap between TransAsia and Mandarin Airlines' routes. Therefore, it's not hard for us to pick up their routes and expand our business. As for other routes, we will apply in accordance with the MOTC rules.
After TransAsia suspended all its flights, the Minister of Transportation and Communication Ho Chen Tan said the MOTC has officially withdrawn TransAsia's aviation rights and will reallocate them in the next 2-3 weeks.

We have withdrawn all TransAsia's aviation rights. We hope to open up the application process to all airline carriers in accordance with regulations. They can all apply and provide better services to passengers. (When can they apply the soonest?) It will probably take 2 to 3 weeks. We're working on it now.
Ho Chen Tan said airline carriers are most concerned about the aviation rights to Shanghai. The MOTC will include offshore island routes in the package and open the application to all companies so that the benefits of people living in remote areas can be ensured.

首班早上9點10分由台北飛往花蓮的華信航班,載客率達到71%,華航董事長何煖軒也親自搭機視察,他表示國內線行李重量也開放到30公斤,未來也會推廣花蓮到日本、花蓮到香港包機,推動花蓮觀光。至於大家極力想爭取的兩岸航權,表示一切依規定申請。

而航權分配中,最讓各家航空業者關心的就是,飛往上海的航權,賀陳旦表示,會考慮各界建議,將離島花東這些服務性航線包裹兩岸航線,讓業者來申請,以維護偏遠地區民眾的權益。
