YOUTH GROUP BREAKS INTO DPP CAUCUS CONVENER'S OFFICE|青年團體闖柯建銘辦公室 嗆辯論撤砍假

The dispute on workers' holidays is still not yet resolved. The Legislative Yuan re-entered consultations yesterday, but still could not reach a consensus. Meanwhile, a youth group broke into the Democratic Progressive Party caucus convener Ker Chien-ming's research room, and asked the DPP to withdraw the proposal to cut the seven days' national holiday. They also demanded that Ker should hold a public debate on the amendments. At last, they were all expelled by police. Ker said he would not debate with protestors. Protesters were still shouting slogans to protest the DPP government cutting seven days' holiday off. Yesterday, the legislature once again held a negotiation between the ruling and opposition parties on the labor holiday amendment. Early in the morning, members of higher education unions and anti-education commercialization youth groups, broke into the basement floor of the Chung Hsing Building, where the DPP caucus convener Ker Chien-ming has a research office. They asked the DPP to withdraw the proposal to cut seven days holiday, and also demanded that Ker hold a public debate.
