KMT Chair Hung references 'Republic Of China' / 洪秀柱謁陵祭文 自然提到"中華民國"　　　　　　　　　　

Kuomintang Chairwoman Hung Hsiu-chu and her delegation visited the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing and were warmly welcomed. Dozens of demonstrators gathered outside the mausoleum, and one even held up the ROC flag. In a memorial speech, Hung was able to mention the Republic of China in a very natural way and when she was walking around she mentioned the 1992 consensus. Yesterday evening, Hung arrived in Beijing and the Hung-Xi two party talks will start this afternoon. ==CROWD== Hung Hsiu-chu, welcome! Kuomintang Chair Hung Hsiu-chu walked the 392 steps of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in fine rain. She was warmly welcomed by Chinese and by the Taiwanese business community. Police had prepared a security line for the public and some waved Republic of China flags. ==CROWD== Long Live the Republic of China! Long live the Three Principles of Sun Yat-sen! In her memorial address, Hung emphasized the 2006 Oct. 31 talks, the significance of China and the glorious republic and thus was able to mention the Republic of China naturally. ==HUNG HSIU-CHU Kuomintang Chair== (Dr. Sun) overturned the Manchu dynasty and established the Republic of China, we feel embarrassed standing in front of our leader, Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Hung not only clearly mentioned the Republic of China but also the 1992 consensus as the basis for mutual relations between the two sides. Former vice president Wu Deng-yih who had previously been scathing of Hung on cross-strait policy, expressed his endorsement for her words. ==WU DENG-YIH former vice president== She was very natural, so for the first stop of her trip, everything is ok. Now, whether she is able to put in 'one China, different interpretation's and the name, 'Republic of China', at some other venue, is up to her discretion. Past KMT Chairs have always paid their respects to Dr. Sun Yat-sen when visiting China and former Mainland Affairs Council Minister, Wang Yu-chi mentioned that the ROC was 103 years old when he visited, thus subtly noting its continued existence. On Nov. 1, Hung will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping and elucidate the KMT's China policy.
