Expo Dome Inoculated as Vaccination Center with Capacity of 14k 花博爭豔館接種站 估單日可施打1.4萬人

Taipei's Expo Dome has been inaugurated as a mass vaccination site with an estimated 14,000 capacity per day. On the first day, 3,000 people were vaccinated before 10 a.m. People were generally happy with the vaccination routes and speed.

Mask-wearing commuters step out of Yuanshan MRT station and head to Expo Dome to get vaccinated. To prevent crowding, the city government had 18 registration stations set up around the site. After registering, people had their temperatures taken and then headed inside to get their shot.

Vaccine Recipient 1:”I wanted to come here and take a look around as I was told it's reminiscent of college entrance exams. Everything looks good.”

Vaccine Recipient 2:”Clinics generally have a daily vaccination quota and vaccinate only from 9 (a.m.) to 12 (p.m.) or 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can't even get an appointment. [Being able to come here is great.”

The 2,000-ping Expo Dome has been divided into four areas, including a special area for people with mobility issues. Vaccination teams are made up of one doctor, two nurses, and four administrative workers. As of 10 a.m., over 3,000 people had been vaccinated. The dome has a daily vaccination capacity of 14,000.

Ko Wen-je, Taipei City Mayor:”If we want to be able to vaccinate 40,000 people a day or more, we need to have mass vaccination sites like this one. This site is open eight hours a day and has a daily capacity of 14,000. If necessary, we can extend the hours to raise the capacity to 20,000.”

Over in New Taipei City, municipal officials met to discuss conditions for lifting current restrictions. Mayor Hou Yu-ih said outdoor activities would resume first and on-site dining last.

Hou Yu-ih, New Taipei City Mayor:”We will meet again on July 19 to make a decision based on what happens this week. If the situation is stable, we may appropriately ease certain restrictions.”

The New Taipei City Government has isolated 56 drivers after a Zhongxing Daye bus driver tested positive for COVID-19. All of the rapid screening tests came back negative, but authorities are still awaiting the results of four PCR tests.

一早，花博爭豔館的大型接種站人潮不少，由於鄰近捷運圓山站，很多人戴上面罩和口罩，搭乘捷運來施打疫苗，入口報到處開設18條線，避免排隊人潮聚集，完成報到並量完體溫後，就可以進入爭豔館準備施打疫苗。

疫苗接種者1：「我是想到這個地方來參觀一下，看跟大學聯考一樣的感覺是，大概是怎麼樣，不過情況看起來都還好。」

疫苗接種者2：「一般的診所，有的它一天打幾個，有限制。醫生九點到十二點，下午三點到五點，根本掛不到，來這邊非常好。」

室內兩千坪的大空間，規劃有紅、黃、藍、黑四區，並設有行動不便接種專區，每一組接種團隊配有1名醫師、2名護士及4名行政人員，到上午10點為止，大約有3千人完成接種，一天接種量可以高達1萬4千人。

台北市長 柯文哲：「如果要打到，每天要到，四萬劑的時候，或者以上我們就需要開啟這個。大型的接種場所，這個一天可以打到一萬四千人。當然這是只有八個鐘頭，如果必要的話可以打到兩萬。」

施打完畢後，座位立即消毒，確保安全，而新北市市政會議，也針對微解封進行討論，新北市長侯友宜強調，解封一定從戶外開始，最後才是室內餐飲內用。

新北市長 侯友宜：「我們會在7月19日視我們這個禮拜的疫情，會再來做一個檢討。如果疫情更穩定的話，還是會朝好的方向適度的微解封。

而針對大台北地區中興巴士616路線，有駕駛確診，新北市府表示，匡列的56位駕駛中，快篩都是陰性，目前還有4位PCR還沒出來。
