A passenger living in Hualien claimed his e-tickets booked through the TRA ticketing app disappeared after a phone update. What made the whole situation even more frustrating to him is that the TRA refused to reissue physical tickets even though he showed the transaction records as proof of purchase, so he had to rebuy the tickets.
Showing the TRA ticketing app on his phone, a Hualien resident surnamed Ko claimed that the five e-tickets he booked simply "vanished" after his mobile phone was updated, which he believes, is a bug in the app. What made the situation even more frustrating is that the TRA refused to reissue the tickets after Mr. Ko provided transaction records as proof of purchase, so he had to rebuy the tickets.
I said I didn't do anything. He said there was no room for error, you must have deleted it. I said there was no delete button inside your app system, then he said there's no room for discussion for I must have deleted it.
The TRA Hualien Station says e-tickets cannot be refunded until the train has finished its journey and during which the seats are not used. The regulation is to avoid to get a refund first and then board the train with the screenshot of the e-tickets.
The current regulation stipulates that if you can't provide us with your e-ticket, then we must have the passenger rebuy a new one then proceed with the refund afterwards.
People have mixed opinions about the TRA's ticketing app. Some less tech-savvy elders are not familiar with it, let alone knowing the fact that the e-tickets may disappear after a phone update.
I think I would still use it for its convenience.
Kids would use the app. Young people of this generation would use it. Old people like us don't even know how to use it.
The TRA stressed that it is better to save the screenshot of the train tickets after purchasing them from the electronic ticketing system. It remains to be discussed whether the ticketing system would include an inquiry section or allow the passengers to search the cloud database due to privacy concerns or theft.
拿出手機打開台鐵訂票App,家住花蓮的柯先生投訴台鐵訂票系統有大問題,因為只要手機更新後訂好的五張電子票通通不見。就算提供交易記錄,台鐵也不能換成實體票券,必須重買車票。
投訴民眾 柯先生表示:「我說,我沒有動它啊。他說,不用考慮,一定是你把它刪掉的。我說,你們上面沒有任何的刪除鍵。他說,不用講,就是你刪的。」
台鐵花蓮站表示,為了防止有心人一邊截圖盜用電子票券給他人使用,一邊又去窗口退票,所以依照規定電子票券退票必須要等到該列車行駛完後,確認訂位無人搭乘才可退票。
花蓮站長 林德香表示:「現行的規定,就是只要你沒有辦法,出示你的電子票的話,那我們就是必須要重新再購買一張, 然後再事後來辦理專案退票。」
民眾則是對台鐵的訂票系統看法很兩極,大多不知道手機更新後電子票券會不見,尤其是老人家根本不會使用。
花蓮民眾 黃先生表示:「還是會使用吧!因為還是有它的便利性。」
花蓮民眾 徐先生表示:「小孩子會啦,現在小孩子…像我們老了,不會使用啊。」
台鐵強調,使用電子訂票系統最好還是將相關票券截圖存檔,至於是否能設置查詢區或雲端資料庫,事關隱私與可能產生非法盜用,還需再研議。
