PRESIDENT TSAI EMBARKS ON STATE VISIT TO CENTRAL AMERICA|英捷專案 總統啟程訪問中美洲4友邦

President Tsai Ing-wen has embarked on a trip to four of Taiwan's diplomatic allies in Central America.The trip came a month after the African island nation of Sao Tome and Principe's abrupt move to break their ties with Taiwan, Before leaving for Central Amercia, Presidnet Tsai said the goal of this visit is to strengthen Taiwan's relationship with its allies. Besides, she also hopes to show the international coomunity that Taiwan is a capable partner that can bring tangible benefits. President Tsai Ing-wen departed for a visit to Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador on a chartered EVA Air flight on the morning of the 7th. Before her departure, she said that the purpose of this visit was not only to strengthen Taiwan's relationship with its allies, but also about proving to international society that Taiwan is a capable partner. ==TSAI ING-WEN R.O.C. We will show international society that Taiwan is a capable and responsible partner for cooperation. President Tsai said that the Central American market is full of opportunity and potential. National Security Council Secretary-General Joseph Wu, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Lee, and Minister of Overseas Community Affairs Wu Hsin-hsing are all accompanying President Tsai on this visit. President Tsai will meet overseas community representatives and diplomats and listen to their ideas about expanding opportunities for Taiwan on the international stage. President Tsai will also stop over in Houston and San Francisco on this trip.
