Every flight attendant should be treated equally. There are about 500 flight attendants who are not members of the union. China Airlines must have been able to find non-union members to serve on the presidential plane. There will be a decreased subsidy for those removed. One flight attendant said that she was more concerned about the union not giving her a chance to voice her opinion beforehand, than actually being kicked out of the union. She also emphasized that serving on the presidential plane is a special mission for national security. The union should not confuse the interests of national security and labor and management disputes. ==De-unionized flight attendant== I believe President Tsai's first visit to the US is concerned with national interest. The union members believed that the process was illegal because they could only appeal after the decision was made. The Presidential Office said that the Ying Hsiang Project was a diplomatic mission. The crew who served on the presidential plane had no reasons to be treated differently. The office hopes that China Airlines can protect the rights of the flight attendants.
