Interior Minister's Resignation Approved 徐國勇今出院 花敬群將請益政務交接

Minister of the Interior Hsu Kuo-yung's resignation was approved due to health reasons, with Hua Ching-chun replacing him as Acting Minister.

Hua said that he would find time to ask Hsu for a handover of government affairs. Hsu's statement of gratitude on the 7th only mentioned President Tsai Ing-wen and did not mention Premier Su Tseng-chang.

Cheng Cheng-chien, Legislator (KMT): “(Su and Hsu) don't get along with each other. Everyone can see this when earlier there were issues at the National Police Agency. I think you have to ask Hsu himself to know whether he accidentally omitted Su or deliberately did not mention him.”

Another recent public concern is whether compulsory military service will be extended before the end of the year. Hua emphasized that the Ministry of the Interior is discussing the issue. There are also legislators who are concerned about draftee standards. According to the 2022 annual survey, as of June, 75,950 draftees have had physical examinations. 17,844 were exempted from military service that is one out of every four people.

Hua Ching-chun, Acting Interior Minister: “This policy was established in 2013 to allow for a relatively large relaxation at that time, ending conscription and relaxing the BMI standards for recruits. In essence, during these recent times, our Ministry of the Interior has proactively proposed adjustments, which we are also currently discussing with the Ministry of National Defense.”

Hua said that a discussion of adjustments to draft standards is already underway. Revisions will be made when the time is right. There is a consensus with the Ministry of National Defense, and revisions can be made after the procedures are completed.

內政部代理部長花敬群表示：「他（徐國勇）在這幾天裡面一共注射了8劑的類固醇、8劑的抗生素。」

徐國勇以健康因素請辭獲准，由花敬群代理部長職務，花敬群說徐國勇預計今（8）日會出院，會找時間跟他請益政務交接，不過徐國勇昨日的感謝聲明中僅提到總統蔡英文，未提及行政院長蘇貞昌，引起外界矚目。

國民黨立委鄭正鈐表示：「（蘇與徐）之間不是那麼的和諧，早在之前跟警政署有關的很多事項當中，大家都可以看得出來，是漏掉了還是刻意不去提到，我想這可能要問徐國勇本身才可以知道。」

近期另一項受關注的，年底前會不會公布兵役是否延長，花敬群強調，內政部會先做入營前徵集的前置作業，但對於公布時間以及影響的年次役男還在最後確認。也有立委關心役男體位標準，根據111年度徵兵及齡男子兵籍調查，截至6月已體檢役男7萬5950人，免役體位有1萬7844人，等於每4個人就有1個人不用當兵。

內政部代理部長花敬群表示：「這個事情是民國102年，那時候因為要政策方向是要全募兵制，那個時候就把徵兵，這個部分的BMI的體位等等，做了比較大的放寬，實質上在這段時間，我們內政部已經主動提出調整的方案，也正在跟國防部在討論當中。」

花敬群表示，役男體位標準已經在調整討論，時機適合就會做修改，修過之後就不會這樣，基本上跟國防部有共識，程序走完就能修正。
