Lawmaker Branded "Traitor" for Opposing More Missiles 尹錫悅擬增設薩德系統 吳斯懷稱挑釁中國

Kuomintang lawmaker Wu Sz-huai has been branded as a "traitor" after he said the South Korea's presidential election result would provoke China. Meanwhile, whether to reactivate the fourth nuclear power plant has also sparked discussions in the Legislative Yuan.

The ruling party has branded Kuomintang lawmaker Wu Sz-huai a "traitor" for saying Korean President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol's proposal for an anti-ballistic missile defense system would provoke China. On the 11th, Premier Su Tseng-chang said this was not the mainstream sentiment of Taiwanese people.

Su Tseng-chang, ROC Premier: “The people will not stand for the idea that the vulnerable can't arm themselves or inappropriately criticize victims for speaking up for themselves. ”

Feng Shih-kuan, Veterans Affairs Council Minister: “(He's being called a traitor. The traitor of the Legislative Yuan). Really? (Is that too harsh?) I hope he isn't (a traitor).”

The Ministry of Economic Affairs has blamed human error for the nationwide blackout on March 3. Lawmakers say the government has blamed human error for every power outage and malfunction in the last two years, and it needs to face the fact that Taiwan has a critical energy shortage. They also say the government has to resolve three major problem areas: Taiwan Power management, energy policies and national security. In response, Economic Affairs Minister Wang Mei-hua would only say the persons responsible for the blackout would be punished. Lawmakers say the ministry needs to set up an independent investigative committee.
 
Su Tseng-chang, ROC Premier: “You offered constructive criticism earlier that even extending invitations to foreign experts should follow this format.”

Wang also dismissed calls for the fourth nuclear power plant to be reactivated, saying the local government would not allow it.

Wang Mei-hua, Economic Affairs Minister: “The first generator of the second nuclear power plant was decommissioned at the end of last year. It's just that the fuel rods weren't removed, because the New Taipei City Government wouldn't grant a license for dry cask storage. That's why it had to be decommissioned earlier than planned.”

Lawmakers believe energy storage is the answer to Taiwan's energy shortage and say the plant could be turned into a renewable energy and energy storage park. In response, Su vowed he would not allow the plant to go to waste and Wang said the government would be proactive about negotiating with the local government and drafting supplementary laws.

行政院長蘇貞昌表示示：「對於散播不准弱勢者武裝，散播批評被害者反抗的不當言論會被人民唾棄。」

針對記者提到目前吳斯懷被人批評是在立法院的台奸，退撫會主委馮世寬表示：「我希望他不是。」

至於303大停電，經濟部定調是人爲疏失，立委指出，跳電危機不亞於缺電危機，近2年停電，跳電事故的檢討報告都指向人為疏失，暴露台電管理、能源政策、國家安全的三大問題。

經濟部長王美花坦承，都是人爲犯下嚴重錯誤，會加強管理，民進黨立委羅致政也關心，經濟部是否成立獨立的第三方體檢小組?

對此蘇貞昌回應：「是不是甚至於請國外專家等，都是要做的方向。」

為了解決供電危機，核四前廠長王伯輝建議重啟核四，經濟部長王美花回應，核四除了核廢料及地質等問題，關鍵在於地方政府很大不同意見。

王美花表示：「像核二1號機，它是到去年年底才要除役，但是因為它的燃料棒拿不出來，原因就是因為新北市政府不核發乾儲的這些相關執照，所以造成它要提早去停役的問題。」

立委認為，穩定供電的解藥是儲能，建議核四可以透過轉型再生能源區帶動儲能產業，對此蘇貞昌承諾不讓核四荒廢。王美花回應，還需要跟當地溝通，法規配套也要跨機關確認，會積極處理。
