Military drills at night to prevent enemy to break through on second day of Han Kuang Exercise 漢光夜間演練趕抵戰術位置  阻敵軍進城

Multiple manoeuvres carried out in both Taipei and Hualien despite the shirking scale due to the pandemic.

Presenter: On the second day of the Han Kuang military exercise, there was a mobilization drill at 4 a.m. Under the cover of darkness, troops got into position to stop enemy forces from entering Hualien. Military experts say this year's exercise was simplified due to the epidemic.

If you can defend with a few troops, it provides a very wide shooting range. That means all we have to do is increase infantry firepower and maybe supply some anti-armor missiles or rockets.”

Erich Shih, Chief Editor, Military and Aviation News:”Clouded Leopards can quickly get into position to open fire on light infantry trying to invade the estuary.”

Another basic infrastructure protection drill took place at Shipai, simulating an attack on Chunghwa Telecom's data center with combat vehicles being sent to the site.

14號清晨4點，官兵駕駛M60A3戰車在黑夜中，穿梭在花蓮的台九線公路上，揭開漢光演習第二天的序幕，國軍第二作戰區實施夜間機動演練，出動4輛M60A3戰車、2輛CM21人員運輸車及2輛輕型戰術輛等共24輛，利用夜色特性，掩護趕抵戰術位置。

人車抵達後，隨即拉起偽裝網防衛，伺機殲滅潛伏在陣地周邊的敵軍，防止敵人進入花蓮市境內。陸軍關渡指揮部則在淡水河部署M60A3戰車、雲豹甲車、迫擊砲等兵力，展開反突擊作戰，模擬敵軍試圖從河口突入，直搗大台北，軍事專家分析，敵軍就算順利從河口上岸，絕大多數不是重裝戰車，國軍戰力足以反制殲敵，但今年受疫情影響，簡化許多演練步驟。

全球防衛雜誌主任 陳國銘：「淡水漁人碼頭這邊算是一個突堤，那突堤的話，其實基本上來講，它就是一個在海面上來講，它是一個制高點。其實你只要能布防少部分的兵力，其實他的射界就很寬廣，那這個時候我們只要，再加強步兵班的步機槍火力，甚至給他配備反裝甲飛彈、火箭。」

軍媒全球與航空網站主編 施孝瑋：「雲豹甲車面對當敵方這個輕快兵力，試圖從淡水河口衝進來，能夠達成快速地，讓敵方的這個輕快兵力，能夠在河的兩岸，受到兩岸這個火力的夾擊。」

此外，國軍也在台北石牌模擬敵軍攻擊中華電信機房、企圖癱瘓台北的通信網路，國軍接獲指令，出動戰車趕往目標位置，演練關鍵基礎設施防護。
