More PLA Aircraft Spotted in Taiwan's ADIZ|共機再擾台 昨2架運8反潛機闖西南空域

People's Liberation Army aircraft have been spotted in Taiwan's air space lately. On Sept. 22, the ROC Ministry of National Defense announced the latest incident, involving two anti-submarine airplanes entered Taiwan's air defense identification zone. This was the fifth occurrence since Sept. 17. The U.S.' latest military analysis calls on the U.S. to reconsider stationing troops on Taiwan to be prepared for future war with China.
On the 22nd, the Ministry of National Defense announced and released footage of the incursion of two Chinese Y-8 anti-submarine airplanes on Taiwan's air defense identification zone. This was the fifth such occurrence in less than a week. The ministry also released combat training footage to show Taiwan's commitment to protecting its sovereignty.
As the Republic of China Air Force, how can we allow outsiders to show off like this in our own air space?
The author of an article published in the latest issue of U.S. publication "Military Review" says the U.S. must think about stationing tens of thousands of troops and thousands of armored vehicles in Taiwan if it wants to keep its promise of protecting Taiwan and keep the People's Liberation Army at bay.
U.S. troops stationed in the Asia Pacific region are generally found in countries the U.S. has treaties with. We don't have formal diplomatic relations with the U.S. at this point in time. Under these circumstances, I find it highly unlikely the U.S. will station troops in Taiwan.
One expert says this is highly unlikely due to the lack of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and the U.S., and the article is actually aimed at provoking China. In response to a media inquiry, U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson John Supple said on the 22nd, "Taiwan's security -- and its people's ability to determine their future, free from coercion -- remains a vital interest to the United States and is integral to regional security."
中共軍機近來頻繁擾台，國防部22號晚上公布，共軍2架運8反潛機侵犯台灣西南防空識別區，空軍派遣戰機升空反制，並公布其中一架機影。這也是17日以來共機第5度擾台。面對中國頻頻軍事挑釁，國防部也釋出聯合防空作戰訓練影片，強調確保主權的決心堅定不移。
總統 蔡英文表示：「身為中華民國的空軍，我們怎麼可以讓別人，在自己的領空上耀武揚威。」
台海緊張情勢升溫，最新一期美國陸軍「軍事評論雙月刊」以中國武力犯台為主題作系列報導，其中研究員指出，如果想維持捍衛台灣主權的承諾，美國就必須考慮重新在台部署地面部隊。更指出美國陸軍應做好準備，在台灣部署四個師的數萬兵力及數千輛重裝軍車，以便將來犯的解放軍「趕下海」。
淡江戰略所副教授 李大中表示：「目前美國在整個亞太地區的駐軍，基本上還是以它的條約盟國為主，我們跟美國，目前並沒有正式的官方關係。所以在這樣的狀況之下，其實要期待說，美軍駐軍到台灣，我覺得這個是可能性，跟可行性，目前來講都非常、非常的低。」
學者指出，台美目前沒有邦交，美軍要駐台可能性不高，但此時釋放訊息，應該是與中美之間軍事角力升溫有關。美國國防部發言人薩波，22號以書面回覆記者詢問，如何看待中國近期在台海的挑釁動作，薩波表示台灣的安全及其人民不受脅迫地自由決定未來的能力，對美國仍是至關重要的利益，對區域安全來說也不可或缺，重申美國挺台立場。
