Shihmen Reservoir 80% Full, No Shortage Before June|石門水庫蓄水率破8成 6月底前供水無虞

With recent rains, the Shihmen Reservoir has jumped from a low of 227.9 meters which is 41.9 percent full since March 7th of this year to a high of 82 percent. There will be plenty of water supply before the end of June and it has the reservoir staff relaxed after combating the drought for several months.


Heavy fog surrounds the Shihmen Reservoir with the recent Meiyu front bringing abundant rains. From May 1st to May 8th, the Reservoir has accumulated 143 millimeters of rain, which accounts for 31 million tons of water for the Reservoir.

There should be plenty of rain these days, because it has been raining for several days.

The water level of the Shihmen Reservoir dam was at its lowest of 227.9 meters on March 7th, which is 41.9 percent full. With the recent rains, the water level has skyrocketed to 82 percent with a water level of 240.6 meters, which accounts for 162 million tons of water reservoir.

Today's level sits at 240.6 meters, which is probably the highest in the year of 2019. We have abundant water supply until the end of June.

The Shihmen Reservoir Administration expressed that the reservoir is at a stable blue light with a 50 percent off for agricultural water usage. It will continue to monitor the situation and decide on the supply for agricultural usage. There will be no water shortage for domestic and public water supply until the end of June.



一片霧茫茫，石門水庫水氣相當充足。近來梅雨鋒面帶來豐沛雨量，從5月1號到8號，石門水庫集水區累積雨量143毫米，為水庫帶來3100萬噸進帳。

遊客表示：「應該這幾天應該會有進帳啦！ 因為下滿多天的雨呀！」

石門水庫大壩水位今年3月7號最低水位227.9公尺，蓄水率41.9%，然而受惠於這波梅雨影響，水庫蓄水率一口氣衝破8成，來到82%，蓄水量1億6200萬噸，水位也回升到240.6公尺。

石門水庫管理中心主任 張家榮表示：「今天的水位是240.6公尺，大概是我們今年108年，水庫水位最高的時候， 目前供水的部分，到六月底之前都不會有問題。」

石門水庫管理中心表示，目前水庫水情呈藍燈穩定，農業用水目前還是打五折供應，後續看實際狀況再來研擬農業供水量，而民生和公共給水，正常供水到6月底無虞。
