ANGRY PROTESTERS STORM LOCAL TOWN HALL OVER LONDON FIRE|倫敦大火58死多人失蹤 民眾抗議"人禍"

The UK Prime Minister has been heavily criticized for the government's emergency response to the Grenfell Tower blaze, as 70 missing residents are now presumed dead. Theresa May admitted that the support system was "not good enough" but that doesn't ease protesters' anger. Hundreds of people gathered outside the Town Hall, asking her to take full responsibility and step down. At least 30 have been confirmed killed and about 70 are feared missing in Grenfell Tower fire. The public are concerned about the heavy casualties and suspect the fire was a man-made disaster. On June 16, angry protesters gathered outside the town hall and then barged their way through the building. Scuffles between the police and the protesters had ensued. Hundreds of protesters shouted slogans demanding justice and answers over the disaster. They were also furious about Prime Minister's presence at the scene and called for her to take responsibility and step down. ==PROTESTER== She shouldn't have come. She shouldn't have come. What did she expect was gonna happen? ==PROTESTER== They actually need to do something. They can't just be hiding. Prime Minister Theresa May was escorted to leave the scene under a major police presence. May said the government will sanction £5m to take care of the aftermath. Analysts and local media said last year the tower block had undergone an 8.7 million pound refurbishment of the exterior. To save £5,000, the contractor used the insulator of the cladding, which was not fireproof and had already been banned in the US. The protesters, therefore, demanded a full investigation. ==PROTESTER== Quite obviously, part of the reason is costs and doing things on the cheap, putting the cladding on the side of the buildings weren't tested properly. ==PROTESTER== Everyone here just wants to make sure they express that that's not swept under the carpet. Theresa May has ordered a full investigation into the fire and the public observed a two-minute silence for the victims of the fire. The blaze took away lives of dozens, bringing up fire safety issues and putting May's political career at risk.
