NOSTALGIC GUANGHUA TRAIN TRIP DRAWS FANS|台鐵光華號50歲 專列重啟動.鐵道迷開心

Taiwan Railways Administration's Guanghua trains were once Taiwan's fastest means of transport, but it was decommissioned, after Taiwan's railway system was electrified in 2014. This year, the TRA brought the 50 years old Guanghua train out of retirement to meet with the fans.
Holding the kettle and pouring carefully into a glass this skilled attendant pours tea for passengers. This is one of the older generation's fond memories of the Guanghua train. Guanghua trains are now 50 years old and came out of retirement to take passengers on a nostalgic journey on the western line.

It's a great memory. Now it's relaxing, before we were so busy as soon as we got on the bus.
Miss Yang served on the Guanghua trains for 37 years and wore her old uniform, smiling to greet passengers. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the TRA especially recalled 100 former staff from the train including conductors, drivers, inspectors and attendants.

I'm so excited, really excited. I really wanted to go back to my old job.
The Guanghua train was once the fastest land transport in Taiwan, going from Taipei to Kaohsiung in just 4 hours and 40 minutes. However, with the full electrification of the railway, in 2014, the last Guanghua train pulled out from Hualien's Yuli Station and into history.

This is the only Taiwan Railways Administration diesel train now and it's the only one that you can open the windows on now, you just can't get that feeling anymore.

Compared to modern trains it's really different and there is no opportunity anymore to take this type of train.
The TRA said the commemorative tickets sold out the same day that they went on sale. The special trip attracted fans of all ages to take pictures of the train on its nostalgic journey.

一手拿著鐵壺、另一手拿著茶杯,隨車的服務員熟練地替乘客倒茶水,這是老一輩對光華號的記憶。俗稱白鐵的光華號,邁入五十年,過去陪伴不少旅客南北往返,今天再度現身西部幹線。

現在出來講說實在 反而比較輕鬆
我們(以前)一上車來就要開始忙了
在光華號服務37年的楊小姐,也穿上當年飛快車小姐的制服,露出笑臉招呼乘客。為了慶祝50年週年紀念,台鐵這次特別找回,以前在光華號上服務的列車長、司機員、檢查員及服務員共100人。

我很想說再重操舊業 我的工作
光華號曾是台灣陸地移動速度最快的交通工具,從台北到高雄只要4小時40分鐘。不過隨著鐵路全面電氣化,光華號在103年從花蓮玉里站開出最後一班車後,正式走入歷史。

跟現代化的比起來 是差很多啦
但是這種 已經沒有什麼機會
去搭這種火車了
而台鐵表示,紀念車票開賣當天,就被搶購一空。這次復開也吸引大大小小鐵道迷前來拍照,共同重溫光華號特快車的魅力。
