KMT Legislator Says Party Made Serious Tactical Error 4公投遭否決 林為洲指犯嚴重策略錯誤

Kuomintang Legislator Lin Wei-chou says the KMT committed a serious tactical error in proposing two referendums and supporting all four. Meanwhile, Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je criticized the Democratic Progressive Party for being obsessed with elections.The four referendums failed to pass on Dec. 18. Kuomintang Legislator Lin Wei-chou, who proposed the referendum opposing imports of ractopamine pork, announced after the results came out that he had asked to resign as KMT Deputy General-Secretary. He also said the KMT made a serious tactical error in proposing two of the referendums and supporting all four. In the end, it became a battle of blue vs. green and the KMT suffered a defeat.Lin Wei-chou, Legislator (KMT): “We supported "yes" votes for all four, and the DPP supported "no" votes for all four. We made a serious tactical error. That's why there were conflicting views between the party and county magistrates and city mayors like Hou Yu-ih and Lin Zi-miao.”Chen Ting-fei, Legislator (DPP): “The results of these referendums show that the people believe the government, so we believe that the government will stabilize the electricity supply.”Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je, who is also chair of the Taiwan People's Party, said referendums are about resolving issues, not votes. He criticized the Tsai administration for seeking to develop high electricity-consuming industries and then abolishing various sources of electricity. He said Tsai will have to end up using "love" to generate electricity. Immediately after the referendum results came out, the Democratic Progressive Party moved to enact a plan to merge city and county into a special municipality. Ko criticized the DPP for being obsessed with elections.Ko Wen-je, Taipei City Mayor: “The six special municipalities are already not working, so you shouldn't continue going down the wrong path. You shouldn't be taking advantage of the election situation to do what you want. That party is thinking about elections all day long, it's so obsessed with outcomes that it's neglecting the entire country.”Ko said land planning involves the division of administrative areas, and preparations are needed and must be taken seriously regardless of whether they involve water conservancy, engineering, transportation, or urban planning.   四大公投遭到否決，身為反萊豬進口提案人的國民黨立委林為洲，公投當日結果出爐宣布請辭國民黨副秘書長，也坦言，國民黨自己推兩個公投，卻喊出四個都同意，犯了嚴重的策略錯誤，最後演變成藍綠基本盤對決而大敗。國民黨立委林為洲表示:「四個都同意全面對抗民進黨的四個不同意，其實就犯了最大的策略上錯誤，後來才會造成侯友宜、林姿妙等縣市長跟中央黨部之間的矛盾。」民進黨立委陳亭妃認為:「這次公投的結果就是人民相信政府，所以也相信政府一定會在供電上讓大家用電更穩定。」身兼民眾黨主席的台北市長柯文哲表示，公投的重點不是投票，重點是解決問題，批評蔡政府要發展高耗電產業，電又這個拿掉，那個拿掉，最後真的要用愛發電了。對於民進黨公投後，推動縣市合併升格計畫，柯文哲批評民進黨永遠都在想選舉。柯文哲指出:「六都已經不對了，不要在不對的上面錯下去，不要為了選舉去搞特殊的情形，整個黨整天在想選舉，為了選舉要輸贏，整個國家都不顧了。」柯文哲提醒，國土規劃牽涉到行政區域劃分，不管是水利、工程、交通或者是都市計畫都需要前置作業，必須嚴肅看待。
