The Tasty steakhouse cluster infection continues to grow, with two new cases reported on campus. The Taoyuan City Government has decided all primary and secondary schools can start winter break as soon as finals are over.
Parents arrive at the kindergarten to find the door closed and locked. The school closed for 14 days after one of its students tested positive for COVID-19. The student is part of the Tasty steakhouse transmission chain.
Xinyi Elementary School Principal: “All school activities will be suspended this week.”
The two children dined at Tasty with their parents on the 9th. Their father tested positive as well. Fourteen students have tested positive in Taoyuan in the last few days. The Department of Public Health says the Central Epidemic Command Center will provide further details. The city has also announced that all primary and secondary schools can start winter vacation as soon as finals are over. Residents are flocking to community testing stations despite poor weather, but turnout at vaccination stations is a different story.
Taoyuan Resident: “I'm going to go get (a shot) when enough time has passed. I think more people can be protected by everyone getting vaccinated, especially since my kids can't get vaccinated. That's my opinion.”
Fewer than 100 people are registered at Taoyuan's vaccination stations per day, with just 30 percent of available appointments filled. The city says no appointments are required at vaccination stations on the 18th.

信義國小校長說：「在本週暫停以上的各種營隊、社團、校隊的練習活動。」
新增的兩名孩童染疫，傳出與父母9日曾到西堤用餐，經過擴大採檢，一家四口只有母親篩檢陰性。衛生局表示，一切要由疫情指揮中心說明。桃園確診學生人數已經到14人，市府再宣布，國、高中完成期末考，就直接放寒假。
眼見確診者不斷增加，桃園許多社區採檢站，上午也湧現排隊人潮。平鎮的新勢市民活動中心，就有大批民眾冒雨也趕來篩檢，排隊一路延綿到戶外人行道。不過，卻和疫苗接種站，呈現兩樣情。
記者陳冠勳說：「桃園疫情持續擴大，今天在八德的接種站卻只有一些民眾來施打疫苗，所以桃園市府也決定，今天只要符合資格的民眾，都可以直接到現場來，隨到隨打。」
民眾認為：「我覺得只要時間到，可以就去打。我覺得我們都做好疫苗的保護力的話，會給更多人的保護，我覺得啦，因為我兩個小朋友沒有辦法打。」
不見排隊接種潮，疫苗打氣冷清清。桃園各地疫苗接種站，預約登記的民眾都不到100人，平均預約量只有三成，因此市府也緊急宣布，只要民眾要打疫苗，18日都可以免預約，直接到場施打，力拚疫苗覆蓋率，持續圍堵疫情。
