Inside the Legislative Yuan, the American meat product controversy has prevented Premier Su Tseng-chang from giving the report for the ninth time. The Kuomintang's lawmakers called for Su to apologize and Executive Yuan spokesperson Ting to resign.
The Kuomintang caucus blocks Premier Su Tseng-chang from taking the podium and calls on the Tsai administration to hold new trade talks with the U.S. They also say inspectors from Taiwan should visit U.S. meat processing plants. Su described himself as "helpless" at being blocked from giving his administrative report.
They've already gone in and out eight times with a prop pig. How many more times are they going to go?
On the 12th, Executive Yuan spokesperson Evian Ting falsely accused a beef noodle eatery of using beef containing Ractopamine. The owner of the eatery was irate. Although Ting went back to the eatery later in the day to apologize and spend NT$39,000 on 100 bowls of beef noodle soup, he is being dragged by netizens. Su excused his actions to lawmakers.
Young people are like anyone else. They inevitably make mistakes. We think he knows the errors of his ways and we can turn something bad into something good.
The Executive Yuan needs to stop the bleeding as soon as possible instead of digging itself deeper into a hole.
Pan-blue lawmakers, however, pointed out Ting gave the Executive Yuan's tax ID number when he paid for the food, which means taxpayers were the ones actually footing the bill. They called on Su to apologize and Ting to resign.
He had the gall to pay the bill with Executive Yuan funds, with taxpayer dollars. Is this or is this not corruption? He openly set out to spread fake news. He should be prosecuted.
First, you hurt beef noodle eateries and beef products. Then, you sacrificed the beef industry. All this so you can import Ractopamine-tainted pork?
One pan-green lawmaker says the Executive Yuan caused harm to the eatery's reputation, but Ting has already apologized and that should be the end of it. The Executive Yuan, meanwhile, says Ting canceled the original order and ultimately paid the bill with a credit card.
國民黨團13號第九度杯葛行政院長蘇貞昌上台報告，再度抬出人型看板與大豬小豬佔領質詢台，重申蔡政府該跟美國重新談判，前往美國查廠。蘇貞昌對藍營九度杯葛表達無奈。
行政院長 蘇貞昌表示：「這個已經抬著一隻道具豬，進進出出八次，都豬八戒了，不知道還要豬幾戒？」
不只杯葛持續，對於行政院發言人丁怡銘，12號指控牛肉麵店家用含萊克多巴胺的美牛，引發店家怒火。儘管當天傍晚已親赴店家道歉，還花3萬9千元買了一百碗牛肉麵，仍引起外界怒火，蘇貞昌也連忙緩頰。
行政院長 蘇貞昌表示：「年輕人，也像任何人一樣，難免會犯錯，我們覺得，已經知過能改，善莫大焉。」
民進黨立委 陳亭妃表示：「行政院要趕快處理，該止血的，趕快止血，而不是洞愈挖愈大。」
不過丁怡銘也被藍委踢爆，100碗牛肉麵的訂單，開的是行政院統編，根本用公款買單，遭藍委質疑挪公款止血，要求蘇貞昌道歉、丁怡銘下台。
國民黨立委 鄭麗文表示：「居然還是用行政院公帑，用老百姓的納稅錢，這是不是涉嫌貪汙？他公然製造假消息，不用移送法辦嗎？」
國民黨團總召 林為洲表示：「打翻所有的牛肉麵店、牛肉製品，犧牲牛肉產業，然後就為了要進口萊豬。」
也有綠營立委認為，行政院造成商家傷害，但丁怡銘已經道歉，爭議應該落幕。不過行政院也出示訂單澄清，丁怡銘取消原本訂單，重新下訂單由自己的信用卡付款。
