After fighting a bitter and often personal battle during last year's presidential election, Hillary Clinton attended Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony in Washington, D.C, and notably, Trump did not mention Clinton in his address. But later at a congressional lunch, he finally took time out to thank her and her husband for attending his big day, urging the attendees to stand up and applaud for the former first couple. US President Donald Trump expressed his respect for both his presidential election rival, Hillary Clinton and her husband, former president Bill Clinton, at the congressional lunch following his inauguration. ==US President DONALD TRUMP == I dont think anyone wants to hear me speak anymore today, right? I'll tell you, there is something that I wanted to say, I was very honoured that President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton was (sic.) coming today and I think it's appropriate to say, ..I'd like you to stand... up. When Trump first entered the venue he approached Hillary Clinton and thanked her for attending. Mrs Clinton had tweeted that she attended to show respect for the democratic choice and values, the implication being that she hoped the Amercian public would do the same. The seventy year old Trump attended three celebrations and at the second, reiterated that he would continue to use Twitter. ==US President DONALD TRUMP== Let me ask you, should I keep the Twitter going or not going?
