TAINAN EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS WORRY ABOUT NO RENTAL SUBSIDIES|租金補助將到期 台南地震受災戶憂無家可歸

Six months after the devastating Tainan earthquake, the Tainan City Government announced the details of disaster-relief donations being used. For those victims who suffered from injuries and could not work, they worry about not being able to pay their rent once the six-month earthquake rental subsidies discontinued. The eight-year-old Lin Su-chin was trapped in ruins for 61 hours. However, new days were not pleasant. Her mom's left hand was broken, and no longer could work at hair salon. Her aunt had many injuries, and is undergoing rehab therapies. They have no work and no income, the subsidies for rent given by Tainan City Government are almost depleted. They are going to become homeless. ==WILLIAM LAI, Tainan Mayor== If they are not the house owners, and if they are looking for house to rent, they are eligible for subsidies. The first payment is six months, and we can extend it by another six months, and see if they are cleared from difficulties. Mayor Lai emphasizes, Tainan City Government will take care earthquake victims all the way. However, there are some victims who doubt the city government continues to help those victims who do not support for rebuild. There are a total of NT$ 4.2 billion donations in support for rebuild, and NT$1.6 billion is to rebuild schools within three years. City government says it will help all victims regardless of their different opinions.
