On Hsieh Kuo-liang's first day as Keelung City mayor, he took a highway bus route 9025 to Nangang. In the future, the highway buses will no longer be stopping at the Nangang Bus Station instead of the Nangang Exhibition Center. The change affects many commuters.
Hsieh Kuo-liang, Keelung City Mayor: “Commuter rights should be protected. It's true that many commuters disembark at Nangang Exhibition Center, but many others disembark at Nangang Bus Station. If buses no longer stop at Nangang Bus Station, their commute gets even longer. We hope to keep Nangang Bus Station on routes.”
Hsieh says the city government is assessing the feasibility of subsidies for the Keelung part of commutes to Taipei and New Taipei for NT$1,280 monthly pass holders, which would cost NT$2 billion.
謝國樑指出：「希望朝大家的搭乘權益不要受損。因為有很多人是下南港展覽館站沒錯，可是其實還是有很多人要下南港站。如果南港站的朋友以後不能在南港站下，對於他們透過南港站，整個延伸出去的通勤，其實就會有一些影響，我們也希望能極力避免這個問題。」
謝國樑當初的競選政見1280月票納基隆部分，謝國樑今天表示，市府評估若全額補助，一年將支出20億預算，需要再綜合評估。
