Walk-in Vaccination at Taipei Expo Park from Dec. 9 to 11 12/9-11花博莫德納隨到隨打 贈百元禮券

From Dec. 9 to 11, people who receive Moderna shots at the Taipei Expo Park can also have NT$100 gift vouchers.

Many people gathered at the Taipei Expo Park to get vaccinated at around 9 a.m. The vaccination service accepts walk-ins and is administering Moderna. The Taipei City Government is also giving out a NT$100 convenience store coupon to each of the vaccine recipients. People are happy with the prize.

Ms. Lin, Vaccine Recipient: “This is my first shot. The park is close to my house and the vaccine seems to have few side effects, so that's why I'm here.”

To increase the vaccination coverage rate, the central government has opened vaccination to foreigners in Taiwan. Ms. Li from Singapore who has moved to Taiwan with her husband is also getting vaccinated at the park.

Ms. Li, Vaccine Recipient from Singapore: “I wasn't qualified (to get vaccinated) before because I'm here on a visitor visa. I don't have national health insurance cards so I can't make reservations for vaccination.”

New COVID vaccination requirements will be in effect starting Jan. 1 of 2022. All personnel from 26 categories of service facilities will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be subject to constant testing. The 26 categories include delivery persons, couriers, cashiers, mail carriers, and such. Moderna vaccination service at the Taipei Expo Park will last for three days starting Dec. 9. Estimation of 3000 shots can be administered in three days. Meanwhile, teenagers in school, as well as some school staff members, are now receiving their second shots of vaccines.

Tsai Ping-kun, Deputy Mayor, Taipei City: “In Taipei City, there are still more than 1000 school staff who have not been fully vaccinated for various reasons. We are now administering second shots to the students so we might as well get the staff vaccinated in the meantime. ”

Taipei City Deputy Mayor Tsai Ping-kun said that personnel from the 26 categories who need to get vaccinated under the new vaccine mandate can make reservations through the 1922 vaccine reservation platform. Companies can also make vaccine reservations for their employees for group service at the vaccination site. The number of employees needs to exceed 20 to apply for group service. Clinics in Taipei are mainly offering BNT currently. Taipei City Hospital Heping Branch is mainly offering AZ, while 17 other hospitals are offering Moderna. 
 

上午9點多，就有不少民眾趕來台北花博公園，準備接種莫德納疫苗，不需預約、隨到隨打，還可獲得一張百元超商禮券，有民眾直呼、感覺賺到了。

接種疫苗民眾林小姐說：「我打第一劑，想說離家很近，也沒什麼副作用就來。」

為增進台灣的防疫量能，中央也開放外籍人士接種，有位新加坡籍李小姐，日前跟隨先生來台工作，也拿著護照前來打疫苗。

接種疫苗外籍人士李小姐說：「之前我沒有資格（打疫苗），因為是旅遊過來的，所以沒有健保卡，沒有健保卡就不能預約。」

由於明年元旦起、防疫新制上路，26類工作場域人員、必須完整接種疫苗且滿14天才能上工，包括外送員、收銀員、郵差等，通通都得打完2劑疫苗，因應民眾接種需求，北市從9日起、一連3天，在花博公園增設莫德納接種站，預計3天可打3千人，另外青少年校園接種BNT第2劑時，也可順便幫教職員打第2劑疫苗。

台北市副市長蔡炳坤表示:「學校還有一千多位的教職員工，因為各種原因，所以他還沒有打滿2劑，剛好醫院本來就要進學校接種，就同一個時間順便接種。」

蔡炳坤強調，這些被強制完整接種疫苗的場域人員，除了可透過1922疫苗預約平台預約接種，還可以揪團，只要20人成團，就可協助媒合到接種站施打，目前台北市診所主要是打BNT，聯合醫院和平院區是主打AZ，莫德納則由17家醫院預約接種。
