Just a few days remain before voters go to the polls, and Soong traveled to central Taiwan to spend an entire day campaigning in Nantou County. He said he was excited to return to Nantou, where he previously served as governor of Taiwan Province. He used this opportunity to list his achievements as governor. Soong was also critical of Kuomintang presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu's latest statements.

Soong criticized Han for not respecting former President Chiang Ching-kuo, and questioned Han's leadership abilities. He used the opportunity to talk about his own administrative experience. Foxconn Group founder Terry Gou also spent the day campaigning in central Taiwan. Soong said the two of them are mounting a joint attack, and are helping to boost each other's support.

He also said he approves of the policies proposed by Gou and he will rely on Gou's knowledge of science and technology if elected. Soong, Gou, and Soong's daughter Angela Soong are scheduled to share a stage at a rally on the eve of election day in a last-ditch effort to appeal to voters.

親民黨總統候選人 宋楚瑜表示：「你看看現在國民黨的領導人，有這樣子(帶領國家)的條件嗎？重新找回台灣的信任，找回人民對於政府的信任，這個才是以前，蔣經國先生時代，給人民立下的典範。」

除了再度批評不尊重故總統蔣經國，更質疑韓國瑜是否有能力帶領國家，強調自己有行政經驗。至於鴻海創辦人郭台銘， 一整天的行程剛好也都在中部， 宋楚瑜說 兩個人採取分進合合擊的策略， 也全力拉抬彼此的聲勢。

親民黨總統候選人 宋楚瑜表示：「郭台銘先生是我們南投的女婿，對吧！也就是我們大家一起分進合擊，宋楚瑜的行政效率，郭台銘先生的科技創新，台灣就需要這兩個，最重要的支柱。」

宋楚瑜表示， 這一次的大選，郭台銘借給他很多人才， 彼此的合作早就已經開始， 也認同 郭台銘所提出的政策， 強調當選之後會借重郭台銘的科技專業。 在選前倒數時刻， 兩個人分頭 全力衝選情， 在選前之夜 也會和宋楚瑜的女兒宋鎮邁合體， 爭取更多選票。
