The latest industrial tragedy to hit Bangladesh. On Jul 3, a boiler at a garment plant in Bangladesh exploded. The explosion killed 10 people and injured dozens. The blast occurred when workers at the plant were doing some maintenance work to get the plant ready for operation after Ramadan. The boiler was located in a shed on factory grounds and when it exploded, it severely damaged the nearby building. The building was owned by a company called Multifabs Ltd, which produces nearly 150 thousand pieces of apparel per day for export. By Tuesday afternoon, 10 deaths had been reported and the search for more victims was continuing. Workers' relatives said about six people remained missing. Authorities have ordered an investigation.
