The Taipei City Government will hold a lockdown table exercise next week. Deputy Mayor Huang Shan-shan says Taipei City is still a long ways away from a citywide lockdown. Meanwhile, mask vending machines have debuted in Wenshan and Wanhua District. Huang says if the vending machines will be available citywide remains to be evaluated.


Municipalities all over Taiwan are holding lockdown exercises in the wake of the naval cluster infection. Taipei City will hold a lockdown table exercise next week simulating various scenarios. Asked if central government agencies would be included in the exercise, Taipei City Deputy Mayor Huang Shan-shan says only the central government can decide that and a citywide lockdown is still a long ways away.

(The exercise) will be held regionally. It won't be expanded beyond that and there won't be a full (lockdown). Everyone should stop thinking of it as a lockdown. If or when we get to that point, the situation will be very, very serious. The central government will decide whether they want to cooperate. We don't have the power to force (central agencies) to take part in the exercise.

Public bus ridership in Taipei City fell by 6.76 million in March for losses of NT$140 million. The city government will provide bus operators with a subsidy of NT$8,000 per month per bus and stop collecting bus ad revenues for the time being.

There are 3,582 public buses in Taipei. At NT$8,000 per month per bus, we estimate NT$85.968 million in total subsidies to be paid out between March and May.

(Mask vending machines) have been installed in these three locations on a trial basis. We will continue consulting with the company to monitor (mask sales).

Taipei's new mask vending machines have debuted in Wanhua and Wenshan districts' health service centers. The city government says whether vending machines are made available in other districts will depend on the effectiveness of the real-name mask-purchasing 3.0 system.

台北市副市長 黃珊珊表示：「（演練)項目目前是在區域而已，還不會到擴大，也不會到全面(封城)。各位不要一直想成是封城，到封城就已經非常非常嚴重了，在中央他們來決定，我們來配合，不可能是我們去限制他們(中央)。」

至於疫情影響運輸業，北市公運處統計，台北市聯營公車光三月運量就銳減676萬人次，營收損失高達1.4億元。北市府也將對台北市公車業者補助，每月每台車補助8000元，運價也不再扣車廂廣告收入。

台北市公運處處長 常華珍表示：「台北市公車，總共有3,582輛，每車每月補助8,000元，疫情期間，我們先用3到5月預估對市區公車的補助，會是8,596萬8千元。」

台北市副市長 黃珊珊表示：「這三個點，先試辦(口罩販賣機)，我們也會再跟廠商做協商，了解一下布局的狀況。」

而台北市推出的口罩販賣機，販售據點也將再擴大，即日起在萬華、文山區健康服務中心也都買的到。至於未來是否推行到12行政區？北市府坦言，還要評估口罩實名制3.0是否衝擊販賣機效益以及三區試辦成效。
