While visiting a new media company in Kaohsiung, President Tsai Ing-wen was filmed with online celebrity Potter King. Because of the word "president" in the video, Chinese media partners were unhappy and asked for the video to be deleted. On Dec. 15, Potter King posted that he lost a lot of endorsement money but they are not willing to kneel to China.

Internet celebrity Potter King recently appeared in a video with President Tsai Ing-wen. The video got over two million views on the first day. As Potter King addressed Tsai as "President Tsai" in the video, his Chinese sponsors are demanding the video be taken down.

On the 15th, Potter King said he has lost access to his Weibo account and lost a lot of money in Chinese endorsements, but he is not willing to bend the knee. KMT presidential candidate Han Kuo-yu expressed his support for Potter King, a former Kaohsiung tourism spokesperson.

在台灣習以為常的總統兩個字，在中國卻成了禁忌，波特王15號晚間發文表示，除了被要求刪影片，已經經營100多萬人的微博，密碼也被改掉，但表示，和中國廠商解約，雖然每個月損失不小，但他們真的跪不下去。而波特王也曾擔任高雄觀光代言人，國民黨總統候選人韓國瑜開直播，也表示站在支持波特王的立場。
