NORTH KOREA SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES INTERCONTINENTAL MISSILE|北韓成功發射火星14型飛彈 美日韓譴責

On the morning of July 4, North Korea successfully launched a missile, which later landed in the Sea of Japan. North Korea's state media later claimed that it was an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of reaching the entire planet. North Korea's state media announced on July 4 that North Korea had successfully launched the Hwasong-14 Intercontinental Ballistic Missile and claimed that the launch was ordered by its leader Kim Jong Un to celebrate the country's 106th anniversary. Fortunately, no vessels or planes were affected. Both South Korean military and US military confirmed that the launch was successful. Pyongyang claimed that the missile had reached an altitude of 2,802km and flew 933km for 40 minutes before landing in the Sea of Japan. Experts believed that the distance could exceed 6,000km to reach the US had it been on a standard trajectory. Japan and South Korea had both called an emergency national security conference.
