Having accepted the call to run for New Taipei City mayor, former Taipei County Magistrate Su Tseng-chang met with Yu Shyi-kun, who was DPP's candidate and barely lost in the last election. After the one-hour meeting, Yu accepted Su's invitation to become his honorary campaign headquarters chairperson.

I'm sorry for making you wait here. Don't say that. Sorry for the wait, sorry.

On Apr. 26, Democratic Progressive Party New Taipei City mayoral candidate Su Tseng-chang called on former Premier Yu Shyi-kun to seek his support in the upcoming campaign. The pair met for one hour, and Su and Yu agreed to work together.

I asked him to be the honorary chairperson of my campaign headquarters. Former Premier Yu accepted, and is willing to help. I am extremely grateful.

Legislators Gao Jyh-peng and Chang Hung-lu, who are members of the DPP's Yu faction and previously called for Yu to be the party's candidate for New Taipei City, attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Kuomintang candidate Hou You-yi criticized a plan to expand New Taipei City's Shenao Power Plant and called on Su to go to Badouzi to hear the opinions of local residents in a Facebook post.

My position on Shenao Power Plant has always been clear. I don't know what he said, and I will go find out.

I have a tiny opinion to express on this point for everyone's reference. Hou You-yi is an old colleague of mine. We are all old friends. However, environmental concerns should not only come up when there is an election.

Yu has already proven helpful to Su, as he tried to defuse the criticism levied towards Su with regards to Shenao Power Plant.
