FMR. PRESIDENT AT CONCERT WITH WIFE WHILE ON MEDICAL PAROLE|扁珍出席音樂會 判刑定讞後首度一起露面

Taiwanese songwriter Cheng Chih-jen held a concert for former president Chen Shui-bian on Oct 30. Chen and his wife Wu Shu-chen attended the concert. Chen was walking with a cane, but the couple looked in good spirits. It was the first time the Chen has made a public appearance after Chen's guilty verdict was upheld by the supreme court. Chen did not give any interview or statement. ==Chen Shui-bian's supporters== President Chen not guilty! Amnesty for President Chen! Former president Chen Shui-bian smiled as he attended the concert held by composer Cheng Chih-jen. The concert hall was filled to the last seat, and many stood up and showed their support for Chen. ==CHEN CHIH-CHUNG== This concert is good for my father's health. I think the event will help him recover. This is the first time Chen and his wife appeared in public after his sentence was upheld by the supreme court. He has been granted a medical leave during his prison term, and in compliance with regulations, Chen did not give an interview or statement.
