Over 30 Cases of Adverse Reactions to HPV Vaccine Reported 女性打子宮頸癌疫苗 30例不良反應申訴

In Taiwan, the parents of over 30 girls have filed complaints about adverse reactions to the HPV vaccine. Some parents are even taking legal action against the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

“If not for the parents' mistake, she wouldn't have suffered so much. They wouldn't have let her get vaccine after vaccine. ”

This woman blames herself for her daughter's health problems. After getting the HPV vaccine, her daughter went from being healthy to suffering joint pain and being diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. In Taiwan, there have been over 30 similar cases reported. The father of the first reported case blames the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Parent: “The Ministry of Health and Welfare even gave her a lifelong treatment certificate for people with major illnesses. She went from being a very healthy child to having to be on medication for the rest of her life. No parent can accept this.”

The girl's parents say they are not anti-vax and are seeking preventive vaccine injury compensation from the ministry because their daughter has to be on medication for the rest of her life. They filed suit against the ministry after the ministry decided the girl's condition was unrelated to the vaccine.

Huang Shu-ying, Chair, Taiwan Women's Link: “I hope our government will stop rubbing salt in the wounds of these girls and their families. We have a relief system in place for this very reason and situation. The system exists to provide relief, not to make people's lives even more difficult.”

Cheng An-hua, Deputy Director, Centers for Disease Control: “These people have stated their demands, so we will evaluate the situation.”

How can the vaccine injury relief system be improved? The ministry says it will look into the situation.

痛痛女孩家長說：「當初如果不是父母的誤判，可能她不會這麼嚴重，不會讓她繼續一直打針下去。」

一想到寶貝女兒接種HPV疫苗後，從身體健康變成關節疼痛，甚至被判定罹患幼年型類風濕關節炎，讓媽媽很自責。統計全台，像這樣的痛痛女孩，目前有30多位，而第1位痛痛女孩的爸爸，更出面向衛福部喊話。

痛痛女孩家長表示：「她還領有衛福部給的那個，重大傷病須終身治療證明。所以一個很健康的小孩子，到現在要吃藥要吃一輩子，真的是身為所有的父母沒辦法接受的。」

強調沒有反對疫苗，但自從女兒打完HPV疫苗後，因為全身關節疼痛，變成得終身吃藥治療，向衛福部提預防接種受害救濟。但衛福部卻判定疾病和疫苗無關，使得許多痛痛女孩的家長，到現在還在和衛福部打訴訟官司。

台灣女人連線理事長黃淑英呼籲：「我希望我們的政府，不要在這些女孩子的，或是這個家庭的傷口上面再撒鹽。我們的這個救濟制度的精神，是給人民撫慰，不是和人民作對。」

衛福部疾病管制署副組長鄭安華回應：「因為今天大家有一些訴求，所以我們還是會做後續的研析評估。」

國內青少女接種HPV疫苗，卻陸續出現關節疼痛等症狀，要如何改善疫苗災害救濟判定制度，衛福部回應，會再進行評估。
