Shots Fired at Tainan City Councilor Service Office 台南市議員服務處傳槍響 鐵門滿布槍孔

Shots were fired at the campaign headquarters of Hsieh Shu-fan, daughter of independent Tainan City councilor Hsieh Tsai-wang around 3 a.m. on the 10th. There were 30 bullet casings at the scene. At 2 a.m., a factory in the area was also fired upon. Police found that the gunman was the same male and the whole case is under investigation.

At about 3:00 a.m. on the 10th, a motorcycle rider arrived at the Syuejia service office of Hsieh Tsai-wang, an independent Tainan city councilor, and fired upon it immediately. This is also the campaign headquarters of Hsieh's daughter and DPP city councilor candidate Hsieh Shu-fan, who was sleeping alone on the second floor. When she heard the sound, she found that the first floor was full of bullet holes. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Hsieh Shu-fan, Tainan Councilor Candidate (DPP): “Because yesterday my schedule ran late, so I just spent the night at the service office. Then suddenly this incident happens, which is very frightening because I don't know the ins and outs of it at all.”

Hsieh Tsai-wang, Tainan City Councilor (IND): “She found the deity statues fallen. Of course, she doesn't have enough experience. The wall of the service office is full of bullet holes. There are only 16 days left in the election. We'll leave it to the police to investigate.”

Even the deity worshipped by Hsieh was damaged by bullets. The garage door and office were full of bullet holes. Police found 30 bullet casings at the scene. In addition, at 2:00 in the morning, 58 shots were fired at a factory in Syuejia District. A preliminary investigation concluded it was the same shooter. The police are currently investigating whether the candidate, the factory, and the suspect are related.

Then we found out in the process of chasing the suspect that he also shot at this technology company in Syuejia District, before shooting at Mr. Hsieh office. We have narrowed down the suspect and are in full pursuit.”

Huang Wei-che, Tainan City Mayor: “Now is the election period, so it is more sensitive. But we have to declare to our citizens that the police do not take election holidays. Our determination to quell violence will be carried out through to the end.”

The shooting incident is particularly sensitive due to the proximity of the election. Police have also deployed additional personnel to protect the safety of candidates. As for the shooting suspect, the police have specific targets and are working hard to track them down.

而這裡也是謝財旺女兒、民進黨市議員候選人謝舒凡的競選總部。獨自睡在2樓的謝舒凡聽到聲音查看，才發現1樓滿是彈孔，所幸無人受傷。

謝舒凡表示，「就是因為昨天的行程比較晚，所以我就直接在服務處過夜，然後就突然發生這個突發狀況。非常驚嚇，因為完全不知道狀況的來龍去脈。」

謝財旺說：「（謝舒凡發現）神明怎倒下來，當然她的歷練比較不夠，在看到牆壁整個都是彈孔，甚至子彈射進來，都射進來服務處。選舉剩16天，這就警方去調查。」

就連競總參拜的神尊都被子彈打壞，鐵門、辦公室滿是彈孔，警方在現場發現30顆彈殼。

另外，時間再往前，凌晨2時許，學甲地區某間工廠也被開了58槍，初步調查是同一人所為。究竟候選人、工廠以及嫌犯3方有無關聯性，正調查中。

台南市警察局長方仰寧指出，「疑似是衝鋒槍連續射擊30發。那我們在按車追人的過程當中，又發現他在學甲區頂山寮某科技公司，也同樣在謝議員服務處之前，就先射擊這個科技公司。目前已經鎖定特定的對象，全力的追緝當中。」

台南市長黃偉哲表示，「現在正值選舉期間，是比較敏感。但我們必須要跟市民朋友宣示，維護治安的沒有選舉假期，反暴力的決心絕對會貫徹到底。」

由於接近選舉，發生槍擊事件格外敏感，警方也加派警力保護候選人安全。至於開槍嫌犯，警方也掌握特定對象，正努力追查中。
