Ko Says He Will Ask Soong to Support Huang 府前國慶活動與宋毗鄰而坐 柯:盼宋挺黃

The local elections are almsot here. Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je says he will ask James Soong to support Vivian Huang's campaign. Chen Shih-chung did not attend any National Day events on the 10th, and Chiang Wan-an criticized the central government for hiding from Taiwan's official name, the Republic of China.

Taipei City mayor candidate Vivian Huang attended the National Day flag-raising ceremony as a private citizen this year, standing behind her former boss, Taipei City Mayor Ko Wen-je.

Vivian Huang, Taipei City Mayor Candidate (IND): “I feel great, because there's no pressure on me. In the past, I had to be here at a certain time and there were always a ton of things to do. As a citizen, I have a lot of freedom.”

At the National Day parade later on, Ko was seated next to People First Party Chair James Soong. Ko said he would ask Soong to support Huang's campaign.

Ko Wen-je, Taipei City Mayor: “(James) Soong and I can chat for hours. I will ask him to support Vivian Huang.”

The countdown to the local elections is on. The DPP's Taipei City mayor candidate, Chen Shih-chung, did not attend any National Day events. Instead, he wrote on Facebook that a capital city is a symbol of a nation's resolve and the mayor of a capital city must never capitulate to enemy attacks or intimidation. Meanwhile, KMT candidate Chiang Wan-an criticized the central government for hiding from Taiwan's official name, the Republic of China, even on National Day.

Chiang Wan-an, Taipei City Mayor Candidate (KMT): “You're avoiding the name "Republic of China" even on National Day. I don't think this disrespect will go over well with the people of the nation. How are you going to do that and still hope to bring the nation together?”

Chiang is running on a national health and fitness platform and has proposed the idea of free bus rides for people who can squat 20 times. Ko is not a fan of the idea.

黃珊珊說：「心情很好啊，因為沒有壓力，沒有時間，就是以前就要排程序，市民就很自由啊，想什麼時候就什麼時候來。」

總統府前國慶大會活動，柯文哲、宋楚瑜等人也應邀出席，而且兩人的座位就安排在隔壁，柯文哲直言，可以聊的話很多，還會拜託宋楚瑜大力支持黃珊珊。

柯文哲表示：「我跟老宋可以聊的話很多啦，當然會拜託他支持黃珊珊，要請他大力支持啊。」

選戰倒數，藍白升旗拚場拉抬選情，雖然陳時中一早並無公開行程，但也在臉書發文，強調首都是國家意志象徵，首都市長立場攸關國安，面對敵人文攻武嚇必須勇於表態、絕不鄉愿；蔣萬安則批國慶主視覺迴避「中華民國」。

蔣萬安認為：「如果在國慶日都迴避掉中華民國，沒有任何相關的意象或是象徵出現，我想這個國人是沒有辦法接受，那要如何來團結國內的民眾。」

針對日前提出「深蹲20下，換公車免費搭乘」，遭柯文哲嘲諷，「不意外，蔣萬安的水準差不多就是這樣。」，蔣萬安除了現場示範深蹲，也還原當時狀況是在論壇分享國外案例，沒想到卻被有心人士扭曲成是政見，真是哭笑不得。
