Kao Sues Mirror Media for Aggravated Libel 鏡週刊指抄襲 高虹安告加重誹謗等罪

Taiwan People's Party Hsinchu mayoral candidate Kao Hung-an arrived at the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office on Sept. 27 to file a lawsuit against Mirror Media, accusing them of aggravated libel. 

Kao Hung-an, TPP Hsinchu Mayoral Candidate: “I wonder how much pressure is the Institute for Information Industry bearing that it decided to leak my personal information, without my permission or consent, or any written notice. If there is any type of political inquiry involved, it should not have been only disclosed to one particular media, Mirror Media, for special purposes attack.”

Ker Chien-ming, DPP Legislative Caucus Whip: “She should really deliberate carefully whether her accusation and suit will pan out, or whether she may be counter-sued for false accusation. It does not merely end at bringing the suit. Wherever you walk, you will for sure leave traces. She (Kao Hung-an) should face that herself.”

"Mirror Media" issued a statement stipulating that the article was indeed verified and it intends to countersue Kao Hung-an for false accusation. DPP caucus whip Ker Chien-mingKer Chien-ming pointed out that Kao Hung-an was employed and paid by the Institute for Information Industry prior to her role in Foxconn; hence she likely does not make a clear distinction between work and personal interests. Kao Hung-an rebuked that the DPP will resort to anything, even leaking personal data, to attack its political opponents. 
 

民眾黨新竹市長參選人高虹安，今（27）日到北檢按鈴控告《鏡週刊》加重誹謗罪，意圖使人不當選。民進黨立法院黨團總召柯建銘認為，高虹安應該講清楚，「不要提告反被告誣告」。

民眾黨新竹市長參選人高虹安指控：「今天資策會到底是承受了多大的壓力，要把我的個資在未經個人的允許跟同意之下，我完全沒有收到任何書面通知，要這樣子去洩漏？如果說今天是因為你們要去做什麼樣的問政，那也不應該是單獨只洩漏給《鏡週刊》一家特定媒體，去做特定目的的攻擊。」

立法院民進黨團總召柯建銘表示：「提告會不會成、會不會被反告誣告，她自己應該很冷靜想。不是告了就沒事，凡是走過必留下痕跡的，她（高虹安）自己應該去面對的。」

《鏡週刊》發出聲明，指報導確實查證，將反告高虹安誣告罪。柯建銘指出，高虹安到鴻海前都是領資策會薪水，公私不分，有很多疑點需要高虹安澄清。高虹安回擊，民進黨對競選對手無所不用其極，甚至使出洩漏個資的手段。
