Second Round of Testing Conducted at FTZ 遠雄自貿港區1/24累積102人確診 今二採

The epidemic situation in Taoyuan shows no signs of easing with at least 102 confirmed cases reported related to the Farglory Free Trade Zone /Askey cluster infection. Meanwhile, a preschool in Bade District has been ordered to close for 14 days after a student tested positive.

As of Jan. 24, the number of cases in the Farglory FTZ/Askey cluster infection had reached 102 including 69 migrant workers. A second round of PCR testing was conducted on the 25th.

Cheng Wen-tsan, Taoyuan City Mayor: “We are conducting a second round of testing at the added-value zone of the FTZ and (migrant worker) dormitories. We expect some of the results to come back positive.”

Taoyuan City Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan says multi-level testing has been expanded with 2,619 transport and logistics workers all testing negative on the 24th. In addition, 4,235 tests from community testing stations all came back negative.

Cheng Wen-tsan, Taoyuan City Mayor: “Following up with contact tracing, we tested 753 people at Hon Hai's Nankan plant. All the tests that have come back so far have been negative.”

Among the new cases in Taoyuan is a preschool student.

Preschool Employee: “The Department of Public Health told us a parent had tested positive. Their child didn't come to school for over a week. We did some preventive testing.”

Preschool Parent: “We can't take our kids home until the Department of Public Health finishes testing them. They told us parents that have been in close contact can get tested too.”

The Department of Education has shut down Jimmy Bear Kindergarten in Bade District for 14 days and has sent medical personnel to the school to perform testing.

 

遠雄自由貿易港區亞旭群聚案，目前累積達到102人確診，其中外籍移工69位。25日將針對列為紅區的加值區以及移工宿舍進行PCR二採，桃園市府預估還會有部份確診。

桃園市長鄭文燦說：「今天遠雄自由貿易港區，針對加值園區以及（移工）宿舍，這個部分是所謂的紅區會進行二採，二採也可能有部分會呈現陽性。」

針對遠雄自由貿易港區清零計劃，市長鄭文燦表示，採取多層次擴大採檢，週一針對貨運站、快遞區及物流區採檢2619人全部陰性。另外，社區採檢站採檢4235位也都陰性。

桃園市長鄭文燦表示：「另外有足跡活動關聯的是鴻海的南崁廠，我們進行了職場753人的專案採檢，目前結果也都是陰性。」

不過，德區幼兒園也再傳出幼兒確診，緊急停課14天。

幼兒園人員回應：「因為是衛生局通知我們的，是家長確診，然後小孩子一個多禮拜沒有來了，我們是預防性篩檢。」

幼兒園家長說：「裡面的所有的孩子，就是要等到衛生局來做完全部的篩檢之後，才可以讓我們帶走，建議我們說如果有近距離接觸的家長，也可以一起做篩檢。」

教育局緊急宣布八德區加貝爾幼兒園停課14天，由醫院進駐園所替全員師生進行採檢，至於和哪條傳播鏈有關，仍在釐清當中。
